I am not denying his past success. My concern is that he had more to work with at Atlanta weapons wise than he did at Tennessee. Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown are more than a match for Bijian and Drake London but Kyle Pitts is far superior than the likes of Anthony Frisker or even Jonnu Smith.

I actually don’t think this would be a bad hire. He’s a run first OC but his offensive philosophy includes play action set up by a strong run game. Tannehill had some good years with Smith. Play action seemed to be a totally foreign concept to Canada and his cronies.

 

The titans had 30 PPG in 2019 in their last 10 games(after the change at the QB position) and it was more of the same in 2020 with 490 points in 16 games,good for the 4th best offense in that year

A play calling head coach. Really improved the Titans offense when he was there as OC. I really like the fact that his success came under a Defensive head coach, like Vrabel.

I wonder if he would bring in a couple of his former coaches like Dave Ragone?

I posted about this from the rumor mill yesterday, and the different posts today, IDK if its horror story or the guy may just be in the long list of horrible HC's who were good as coordinators. Dick Lebeau comes to mind. IDK if her repost was correct, but she said 7 teams were trying to line up interviews. I do like the thought of bringing Munch back, regardless of who they hire, without a good OL and scheme most any OC will have issues.

I would see Tannenbaum as an upgrade to Mitch Trubisky. And he would know the offense and be a part time coach with the rest of the Steeler QBs.

Put Tannenbaum in as your #3 QB, and kick Mitch to the curb.
