QB for Super Bowl run in 2024? I think we go to a proven Veteran ( Wilson or Cousins?)

Bring Mason back and give him a legitimate opportunity to compete with Kenny under the tutelage of a real OC and QB whisperer. Draft a guy in round 3 who has potential. Don’t overreact and bring in a guy well past his prime who’ll demand a king’s ransom and for goodness sake don’t bring in another highly drafted, failed Chicago quarterback!

The guy is 35 and tore his achilles tendon this year. No thanks no way no how. Before you do that you sign Mason.

I'm not saying that I don't like the idea of Mason coming back as competition for the starting job... but the point was that Cousins has injury concerns, but he isn't washed up.

I don't think an Achilles tear for a pocket QB has me all that worried. The only thing is the fear of re-injury, but he is a 2-3 year option at most anyways. IF we think we can win with our roster plus a QB he's the guy. Cousins is a very strong player and if he started the year healthy (and stayed healthy) we would compete for the best record in the AFC.

And where would this money to pay Cousins come from, they would still need money to sign other players?

We 100% won't consider doing this. There are plenty of ways we can clear up money. Extensions/restructures/cuts... If they really wanted to make it happen they could. We wont.

And they certainly don’t have the coaching.

Cousins only took his team to the playoffs 4 years in his career with an overall playoff record of 1-4. He’s 35 coming off a major injury. And we want to pay $35m for that?

If the team is hellbent on bringing in a vet, Ryan Tannehill would be a solid option. I'll leave it to @Thor@Thor to crunch the details for I don't know what his current market projection is.

I said "solid option". I didn't say "best".

That's besides the point. Don't think I have ever had such a violent response from you!! :lolol:

No to bringing in any past his prime qb or even thinking of keeping Mitch . Go with better line ,deepen defense and ride the deer ,Mason , SB run ,nothing runs like a deer.

Personally I don't think we are anywhere in the universe close to a Super Bowl run. We have so many holes in the dike its not even funny. Massive overhaul is needed and will take several years.

Cousins = upgrade to maybe get to second round of playoffs, but no Super Bowl IMO.
