Whomever Omar and Andy want. I don't trust anyone else to make the decision.

Kingsbury interviewed with the Eagles on Tuesday, I wonder if he already had an interview with the Steelers and just haven’t heard about it yet. Steelers do like to play things close to the vest. Figure he would have set that up since he was just a hop skip and a jump away. He’s due to interview with the Raiders, next.

I don't think that happened on draft day, but I would hope the offensive coordinator would be involved in trading away your top WR and 2 number 1 picks for a rookie QB.

LOL.... Can you imagine the look on the face of your OC if he had no idea what was happening.... You guys did what????

Positive reinforcement. You could beat that one over the head with sledgehammer to your heart’s content, but you’re not getting through.

thats why I chuckle when soneone posts we need to move up and grab a QB, it cost them two seconds and a first (now the number 1 pick), to move up 8 spots. the insanity. lol

To be honest... I am becoming a bit disappointed.
Kingsbury should be high on the list, instead they are interviewing Thomas Brown.... a loser for the Panthers.
Vic Fangio was out there, and Austin had an expired contract...

They're interviewing Jerrod Johnson QBC of the Texans. Definitely the best name to date.

    Yes, He is a plus.
I am of the belief that you upgrade...

    ***Edit***
I'm going to have to eat my words here. I was corrected by a college.
    Johnson isn't that good.
Mostly an Associate coach.. not enough experience, not really considered a OC yet.
    Not what the Steelers need.

Looks like the Steelers are being cute like they did with Canada, trying to find that up and comer instead of relying on actual experience.

The guy had to work with Stroud, it’s not like he turned an UDFA into an all pro and what does being a good QB coach have to do with being able to design an offense. They havent even interviewed Robinson yet, just requested an interview. Im not crazy about his lack of OC experience either but at least he has worked under McVay. And the only thing tying Kingsbury to the Steelers is Peter King, thats dubious at best.

I have no problem if the new OC has no experience at this position....Every OC,DC and HC who have become great had no experience at the start of their career at this position....I love the fact they seems to want someone in the Sean McVay or Shanahan tree right now...For Canada,he had only 1 year experience in the NFL when he become the OC in 2021 and his resume in college as OC was below average every year outside of one year...Not the same thing

At first I was excited about the prospect of kingsbury, but that’s changed a bit. I’m not a fan of his use of 10 personnel at all. Ow obviously coordinators can and do change how they do things. However, there’s no guarantee kingsbury has changed or that whatever changes he may or might have made would work at the professional level.

I disagree. You’re banking on potential. This is Picketts last chance, they need someone that knows how to design an NFL offense. Fichtner was in the NFL for years, didn’t help him.
