Sounds like Essex to me I just don't think he played as well as people think he did. He was beaten a lot and look what happened to the run game when he went in. I just think he is a career swing man.

LMAO. He may give Warmack the 3rd highest grade in the draft, but that doens't mean he's going 3rd... I think he'll be there at 17. Warmack isn't a better prosecpt than DeCastro and you see where we landed him.

This doesn't mean Warmack is the pick to me... It means we're re-signing Ramon Foster. Good move IMO.

When has kiper been right about anything. I would be shocked if he was right 15% of the time

Good riddance to Colon he's injury prone and gets too many penalties also his cap hit I think is like 7 or 8 million.

Colon is really good at blocking the guy in front of him - straight ahead power on power (assuming he doesn't jump the snap count and draw a false start flag). I don't see much more to his game than that at this juncture. His great if you run right behind him. He's pretty mediocre if you ask him to do anything else. Foster was our best O-lineman on the field at least 3 or 4 games this season. He's not spectacular at anything, but he generally achieves his primary assignment on every play. However, Foster is best at RG, which tells me that DeCastro - who has LG skill/agility - is headed to the left side this year.

Not too mention I think teams are very reluctant to use such a high pick on a lineman.

Last year Kiper had Reiff going in the top ten(23rd) and Johnathon Martin going at 10 and he ended up going 42nd. Cordy Glenn in the teens went 41st....

Absolutely True..., that being said with such high grades, he will not be there at 17...

actually warmack is graded higher than decastro was... so in essence he is a better prospect...

If Warmack goes top 5 .... I will ban myself from posting on the board from the end of the draft till the first preseason game.

Teo then Warmack at 17....if both are gone (which I think they might be...but between 10-16) I seriously would try to trade down..and get another 2nd round pick.

While this could be interesting is as TTF said...its NOTHING but speculation at this point. So lets not get tooooooo excited here just yet.

But if it DOES happen...I have no problem with it. While he DID show some good signs mid season when he was a on a tear so to speak...he did have a little ways to go (esp on pulling/etc)...but things were looking quite well for him and then his knee issue/etc and that was that. I hate to have dead money/etc...but if thats what they choose to do then I'll support it. If they do cut Colon I think Foster becomes the #1 guy to re-sign on the O/OL. As someone mentioned I wouldnt be against DD at LG and Foster back at RG that would be a solid line I think.

But again...we shall see what happens in the coming months!

I just don't get the Gilbert to LT and the Adams to RT.....Yes Adams played well at RT...but last year all through camp it was said Adams is the better LT prospect...its why they scrapped the Gilbert move from day 1. I think Adams is much better at LT than Gilbert can be.....I would love to see either Warmarck or Cooper drafted to play LG

    Adams, Warmack/Cooper, Pouncey, DD, Gilbert

    or
    2, 1, 1, 1, 2 in the draft.

Adams is a better run blocker AMD Gilbert is the better pass blocker.

Did you see our running game last year? For team with an offense that is supposedly based on the play action pass a Guard is a very important need.

Warmack could be there @ 17 despite Kiper references. LOL
    Too early.
We had to remove our Colon before more damage was done. Warmack/Cooper are valid possibilities.
    With Vaccaro gone, maybe Elam/Te'O/Minter.

Gilbert was a waste of a 2nd rounder, and will continue to perform like the 4th-5th rounder that he should have been - doing well enough to just barely hang on to a job, but never really performing like a key starter. Until he proves me wrong, that's my view.

I think Adams is the better pass and run blocker.

    Plug Foster in for Beachum.

I don't see that as a bad line, to be honest. Gilbert may not set the world on fire, but he should only get better. And he's not terrible. Likewise Adams. Decastro we never really got to see, but I can't believe we all got so hyped over the summer for nothing.

The number one thing we need on this team - before any signings, picks etc. - is for the o-line to stay healthy and solid for a season.

I think I would take health over personnel for the line.

If everyone could stay healthy allowing the same cast, why that would be huge!

Yes... What's the highest a guard's ever gone?

I know Iupati and Hutchinson both went at 17.
