    At least she mentions Alex Van Pelt.

    I still think Van Pelt should have been the top name on the list with all his Pittsburgh ties and the Amazing Job he did in Cleveland this year. You lose your Franchise RB, and Franchise QB, and you still make the playoffs ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Flacco, and count it 5 300-yard games out of his 6 starts. Guess how many 300-yard games the Steelers mess of QB's put up this year?

    I hope they are done caring about Pittsburgh connections. They need to focus on getting the best guy, and I think it is a stretch to attach the word great to any aspect of the Browns' offense this season.

    Van Pelt was a couple of years ahead of me at Pitt. He and I were scheduled for the same class once. I wrote it that way because he only showed up once or twice.

    This is what Van Pelts offense did in the last 6 games of the season without Chubb and Watson. 4 straight wins to finish the season.

    Joe Flacco had 5 300-yard games out of his 6 starts. Guess how many 300-yard games the Steelers mess of QB's put up this year?

    OC of the worst offense in the NFL in 2023(Panthers)

    To be fair with Brown,he was not the play caller for the panthers for the entire season and it was likely the Frank Reich offense and Carolina was such a mess,so it was not really his fault,but I still hope he will not be considered seriously for this job

    Don’t think he had a whole lot to work with either outside of Bryce who doesn’t seem to be as good as advertised.

    Yeah, but how much responsibility did he have in trading up to get Bryce. Right now that trade is looking horrible for Carolina.

    LOL... Everyone involved in this trade gets fired.
    Panthers receive:
    • 2023 first-round pick (No. 1 overall) --> QB Bryce Young
    Bears receive:
    • WR D.J. Moore
    • 2023 first-round pick (No. 9 overall) --> #9 DT Jalen Carter
    • 2023 second-round pick (No. 61 overall)
    • 2024 first-round pick (No. 1 overall) --> #1 QB Caleb Williams
    • 2025 second-round pick

    I am sure this is not the OC who make this trade....This trade was about the head coach,GM or owner...I think this is their stupid owner!

    You're giving Van Pelt too much credit, he didn't call the plays with the Browns.

    Met Alex’s dad when he and I were involved with the same civic organization. At the time, Alex was the QB coach for the Bills and they had just drafted JP Losman. His dad told me that Alex shared with him that JP would never make it in the NFL because he was lazy and “too cool for school”. Sounds like Alex would’ve known given his class attendance history, lol.

    While that's true, what else do the steelers have to judge him by? He was OC for one year in his career, and unfortunately for him, it was with Carolina that resulted in the worst offense in the NFL.

    Normally, these types of resumes are filtered by HR and never make it to a hiring manager, but that's where one wants someone with credible experience. Maybe steelers simply don't care about track record.
