I think it’s a valid question no? TJ is that good of a defensive player.

 

If he was in his mid-thirties, then maybe I would agree with you, I don't worry about doom and gloom as a fan.

 

In Steeler history or NFL history? Steeler history maybe. NFL history? I’m sure there are players from the 60s to 80s, when they played fewer playoff games, that never won a playoff game. OJ Simpson comes to mind, I’m sure there are others.

 

With his injuries it’s highly unlikely he plays until his mid 30s. He probably has another 3 maybe 4 years if we are being honest. With the coaching and QB situation this team has you don’t need to be doom and gloom just realistic.

 

OJ never won one? I think TJ is having a better career though. Thanks for at least responding.

 

He turns 30 this yr. His style of play is not conducive to longevity. His brother’s health and sacks went south at that age. I suspect 2 yrs from now TJs decline will be well and truly obvious.

OJ Simpson had a much better career than TJ. I don’t think it is close.

 

This guy works his tail off. This should be at least his second DPOY. I hope one day he wins a Championship with or without our team. Preferably as a Steelers but could see him sunsetting his career on a true contender. Right now we are just not that team. There are a handful of teams that I would hate to see him with though.

Yea I almost wish he would get traded, don’t think it will or should happen however, just to see him be on a real contending team. If they ever implode which it always feels as though it’s on the cusp they could finally break it all down. Something they should have done years ago instead of pretending.

 

TJ could still have another 2-3 dominant years though. If he ended today I’d agree (although I wasn’t alive during OJs time)

I would like to know an answer to that as well. Has to be some Stat guy out there that can list the best defensive players to never win a Playoff game.

Shocked to learn that OJ had 6 Pro Bowls and only 1 playoff game where he rushed for a total of 49 yards.
