Yeah and now I find myself in the position of rooting for NE because they offer the best chance at stopping the ravens from reaching the SB. Arrgghhhh!

In his defense, he lead the team to the go ahead touchdown, and if not for a Denver safety suffering a stroke during a hail mary, would have won. Yeah Peyton blew it eventually, but it shouldn't have come to that. Everyone on Denver did to win the game except one guy.

I know it's always many factors that go into a loss. We didn't lose to the Cowboys in XXX JUST because of O'Donnell. The 49ers didn't lose to the Giants last year JUST because of Kyle Williams. I mean, if those teams had been up by 5 touchdowns, then those crucial plays wouldn't have mattered. But sometimes there's a play so inexcusable and stupid and unexpected that I think you can fairly single it out as the reason a team won or lost. The Steelers won against the Raiders because of the immaculate reception. They lost against the expansion Texans because of Tommy Maddox's 3 turnover-TDs. The Broncos lost to the Ravens because Rahim Moore forgot the laws of physics and/or what motor skills are. Jones didn't even make a play on the ball, he just let it fall into his hands. All Moore had to do was go to where the ball was going, and he was in good position with plenty of time. He just forgot to go there.

Any time a team puts up 35 points and loose I will blame the defense 100% of the time. Peyton did choke though but never should have been in the position to choke.

I still say when up by 7 with under 2 minutes, you take a risk to get a first down and victory formation rather than run, run, punt and trust your D. Stupid decisions at the end of regulation.

    Yep.
One of my friends came over to watch the Colt/Saints SB wearing a Manning jersey. I told him that Manning was a post season choke artist and we got into a heated discussion about it. He LOVES Manning. Ultimately Manning proved me right. He does make me look good though because you can call it waaaay in advance.

The guy is probably the greatest REGULAR SEASON QB in history, but he ultimately blows it in the post season.

I remember reading somewhere that in HS he started for 3 years and lost a total of FOUR games as QB but NEVER won a HS state championship. That means that at least 3 of those 4 losses came in the post season. The guy just can't get it done in the post season. Period.

I was kind of thinking similarly in that he might be injured. I know he's hardly the postseason superstar, but you've got Peyton Manning, a defense that has struggled, and a close game, why wouldn't you let him light it up? Every time they ran, ran, ran in the final drives I was just baffled.

Manning put up 21 with a pick 6 and fumble plus another pick which gave the Ravens 17 points.

Yes, 35 is enough to win. But Peyton blew it when it mattered most. Typical.

I can't do it. I'd rather not watch the conference game and just root against whichever makes it to the SB. *sigh*

I like Manning. I really do. I just think that in the clutch he fails.

Still a bunch of guys here wishing our defense was more like the Broncos????? Baltimore put up 38 points on that team. In our first game vs. them our D gave up one 41 yard drive in the first game for 3 points (the other points came from a PR and a 4 yard drive after turnover for a FG). Oh, and we lost...

Second game we won 23-20 and thir scores came after turnovers and BS penalties.

Can't do it for either. I'll take hoping that the stadium gets sucked into the hot magma of inner earth over either of the options.

It's never that easy for me. Both options disgust me equally. In the regular season I know what I want (a 0-0 tie with lots of injuries). But in the playoffs I just can't choose. All I can do it focus on the fact that one of those teams will not advance.

I hate the Pats and live in New England so I have to deal with their fans, but it is a no brainier for me I am all for the Pats. I hate the Pats, but I HATE the Ravens. The way I see it, another Super Bowl appearance and/or Victory is not going to change much for Brady and Bellycheat's legacy. I don't want Flacco, Hairball, and the like to even make it to the Super Bowl.

Thats why I said "team" ;) My point being, 35 should win you the game every time.

Yeah you have to put it on the Broncos D, but I noticed Peyton didn't try to beat the Ravens deep at all. I know they don't have many burners and you want to be wary of Ed Reed, but you got to keep them honest. I just wonder if Peyton's arm is really just shot when it comes to the deep ball. If that is the case, they didn't have much of a chance to go any further than this then anyways....

It will suck going to work on Monday with all Ravens fans... My only hope is Balt beats NE, and then Joe Flacco blows it in the Superbowl....

    I respect the Ravens.

Dislike them all you want, they've got a solid organization there. And they do things a lot like the Steelers. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis are both great players and I think most Steelers fans would love to have them in Pittsburgh just like most Ravens fans would have taken Hines Ward.

The Pats though? They're like the anti Steelers/Ravens. You've got to take the Ravens.

What is great though is in a situation like last year, I was all in for the Ravens in the AFFCG, but when they Torry Spelling dropped that TD pass and the kicker missed the FG, I loved it. I just moved on to root for the Giants.

Thats whats great about the playoffs, every week is a new week and its a win/win situation a lot of times.

What is gona suck is how the media will make excuses for peyton, ( ther was somthing wrong with his arm ) and say how the Ravens are a team of Destany, and of course we will have to put up with ray every time we turn the tv on, I'm really hopeing Houston wins , and then knocks out the Ravens.
