In this way too early outlook without knowing cuts, trades, FA, draft and who the OC will be:

    8-9.

Defense isn't getting younger, and I don't have much faith in Kenny nor Mason being the guy for a whole season.

Based on other posts getting against the rules, this one crossed the line...get a more positive 8 ball to make predictions! lol

Tomlin could go 0-17 for the next 3 years, and he'd still probably get another extension. They'd probably blame it on the new OC or Pickett. Seems like Tomlin always has an out

Mike missed an opportunity, TB is supposedly out at FOX...that is an easy payday if you do not like 18 hour days in the sports complex/

I doubt if Tomlin would even be that good at it

What happened with TB? I don’t think TB would be good at it anyways. Imagine a more arrogant Tony Romo in the booth

I can't definitively say at this point of the season. I think last year I said 10-11 wins, but we didn't do it the way I thought we would. This team has a few holes but nothing too crazy (and certainly nothing that can't be drastically improved via FA and draft). I'll have a better idea of where I stand on this after FA.

Early guess would probably be 9-10 wins again. I think this team could win 11-12 games if we get QB play to the caliber we got from Mason over the final 4 games. Obviously we would need to be a bit healthier next season (we lost Minkah for a while, Heyward for half a season, then entire ILB room, Watt for the playoff game, Kenny gets hurt every couple games) but if we are NFL averagely healthy there's no reason to think we can't be a 10-12 win team. The real question is where can we improve and how will that help our team? I think competent coordinators would go a LONG way in improving the team and those two spots are question marks at this time. A T or C would help a lot. Another CB. Maybe some younger talent at ILB.

If we are looking to make a splash in FA, I'd consider taking a look at Patrick Queen/Devin White at ILB or Jaylon Johnson at CB. That is going to be in the 15-20 mil a year range for any of the 3, but those are the types of moves that could really move the needle for this defense. We could then use our draft capital on the OL and secondary.

Lots can happen between now and then. We play a 3rd place schedule again. 10-11 wins with a decent draft and FA period seems extremely attainable.

Hard to make any prediction until they bring in to who ever is going to Capitan the Offense. And some changes in the Defensive coaches and scheme.

Plus how they will upgrade in Free Agency.

    And the Draft.

So until then who knows. But, another 9-8 season or 10-7 with a Wild Card exit is not going to cut it.

Playoff run or Bust. No more excuses...

    12-5 or 13-4

I look at this year we got to 10-7 and we should have had 3 more wins. Yes we had some very ugly wins, Several of those wins was without our rookies getting much playing time. I truly believe that if we didn't have all the injuries we had on defense this season, we would have went much further. Cam hurt most the season, Fitz hurt most the season. All our Linebackers and DB's out most the season.

I think Kahn done a great job in this past off season, I look for us to have a good off season again and work on our weaknesses, Implementing a new offensive scheme will be a benefit. adding improvements to the oline will help tremendously. Hopefully we will see some maturity with our WR room.

I think MT has learned from this season, I think he has heard that the culture has to change and I think he will make it happen. Something about his last presser really made me have hope, He has NEVER been that transparent. I think he hit rock bottom this season with all the noise surrounding him and he has something to prove.

I like your optimism but he will still lay 2 or 3 duds by not having his team prepared, the typical trap game and the usual 2 win team that we should beat by double digits. He is who he is and the standard will still be the standard. We will still see games where we’re down by 10 with 6 minutes left and we are still running the ball against stacked boxes. He will always have many terrible game plans. That’s just who he is.

Maybe I should put up the 7th annual Steeler Prediction Poll.
