It’s an extraordinarily poor record, absolutely abysmal.

To be honest the last two games they were heavy dogs against the Bills and Chiefs on the road, albeit it’s still really poor to give up such a big lead early.

There is no excuse for the Browns 2020 and Jags 2017 debacles, that was just a team that wasn’t ready to play and got sucker punched.

I don’t think MT is fully to blame, he can’t he held accountable for Pouncey snapping the first ball in to outer space rather than to his QB or for George Pickens dropping a routine pass near his own goal line for a fumble, but these crazy things always seem to go wrong in big games and it’s a definite pattern at this stage

Yes, YOU say there are plenty more. From what I see, there are way more guys like you who want to blame Tomlin for everything and want him fired 10 years ago.

The standard of zero accountability is the issue here. Not even the punter is held accountable for his results. At least Tomlin holds his players and coaches to the same standard as he is apparently held to.

It's like the movie Groundhog Day. Every year, every playoff game same type of result. We've got another year of it coming this year.

Look at the record Mike McCarthy has put up in Dallas over the past 3 years ( 36 -15 ) and his job may be on the line because its not good enough!!! Jerry Jones expects Super Bowls, apparently Art does not! Seriously, with this record, Mike Tomlin is fired from every other organization in the league, there is absolutely no doubt about that. His playoff performances alone should have him fired.... ( please see original post abouth the past 5 beatdowns .) Has mediocre Mike never had a losing season, yes, has mediocre Mike done anything to prove he can put a Championship team together, NO he has not!

I have watched all of these games and as we know they all have started the same way. The only thing I can think of that would cause this under all similar circumstances is that the players and the coaches are wound so tightly about playing the game that it removes the athleticism and leads to mental errors and slow reactions. This has happened with completely different offensive and defensive personnel and coaching staffs with MT being the most consistent piece. I like MT, but for some reason the message that is being received by the players and the assistant coaches is not translating into the biggest games or into the sometimes winnable in season games. The same scenario plays out in the seasons where we win in spots that I think we will lose and then play poorly in spots I think should have been wins. The mental game is just not there at times and we look lost and it seems it takes a while for the reality of the situation to sink in before we start making plays and the players loosen up and get into the groove of the game. Now if we could just figure out what part of our preparation leads to the mental log jam. Of course this is about coaching and execution, but in each instance we have finally coached and executed at a high level so it means that we are capable, just unable mentally at the outset.

Something else is familiar. The turnovers are atrocious! You cannot turn the ball over off the first snap like they did against the Browns (AT HOME!) You cannot come out and turn the ball over in your end after you get down 7-0 against the Bills! How many turnovers did Ben have in those play-off losses?

The only lead they had was against the Chiefs and that was on a TJ score!

Exactly! At some point you have to understand that it is a trend not just bad luck. That is, unless you choose to overlook the obvious just to defend Tomlin, which a ton of fans and national media personalities do.

It's mind-blowing to me how any of these national media pundits can sit there and ***** about Mike McCarthy but defend Tomlin. They are essentially carbon copies of each other with Mike McCarthy having a bit better playoff record.

Mike McCarthy has won a super bowl more recently than Tomlin beating Tomlin in the super bowl, has won a playoff game more recently.

I 100% agree with you. Other opinions will be the punter brought into camp looked almost identical maybe slightly better. If we switch punters our kicker will have a different holder which could impact our FGs. Therefore Harvin has a lifetime contract. I don’t agree with that just saying thats Tomlin’s opinion

That's the dumbest reason to keep him. You can teach someone how to hold. I don't believe Harvin held in college so he had to learn

He did save some bad snaps this year, but if he can't do his main job, when you know field position is key for your team, he's got to go.

I've defended the kid before, thinking he's kicking the way they told him too, but you have to be able to put kicks inside the 20 punting from mid field. Occasionally you need to be able to boom one and flip the field!
