Concussion

Soooo the NFL cares about concussions unless it’s a playoff game and the starting QB gets one. Mathew Stafford was in the blue tent for 5 seconds. Seems legit

 

Mahomes had a helmet to helmet hit and it smashed his helmet. Surprised they didn't take a closer look at him. I didn't see it but I think he stayed in game.

 

I think they should go to college rules. Throw the flag and review it. You have tons of guys getting fined but nothing on the field

 

It is funny. Not only was it a helmet to helmet hit that should have sent Mahomes to the Bench, but the officials decided to let Mahomes break the rules and held the game up, so Mahomes could get a new helmet and not miss a play.

The TV moderator "Ex-Official" pointed out that according to the NFL rules on an equipment malfunction the player has to come to the sideline for at least 1 play.

 

Not only that but they let him play 2 downs with a busted helmet

 

That was crazy I was like he took that kind of shot to the head and they let him change out his helmet and stay in the game?

IIRC he took the next snap with it broken too then they spotted it!

 

The NFL is so full of s$#@ on this issue it's coming out their ears. The idea of this "unaffiliated" neurologist is an absolute joke. They aren't affiliated to either team, but they're employed by the NFL. I wonder if they are even professionally liable for these calls or if NFL spmehow waives responsibility? Stafford was absolutely knocked out on that play. Another great job by the refs too not calling RTP.

 

I still am amazed Detroit didn't get a roughing call. I don't know if he was concussed, but when the camara was on his face while he was still down, he didn't look like he knew where he was.

The NHL is way worse. Especially in the playoffs.
