Or it makes it extremely attractive if there is an understanding this is Tomlin's final year and you'd be the head coach in waiting.

Just trying to see some positive in this. Honestly, with all the openings any good OC can probably become a head coach immediately.

I agree with everything else you said, but am struggling with the Glazer piece. The only thing I ever saw from Glazer was speculation and he admitted as much. I feel like the Glazer comments got twisted into something more.

God I hate this team some times. This guy will never leave and we will never win another playoff game.

Just read an article where both TJ and Cam endorsed coach T, i cant argue with that.

TJ must be content with mediocrity for the Steelers for the rest of his career here. I doubt if TJ will ever experience the taste of a playoff victory, let alone the taste of a SB . I guess all that matters to him is his regular season stats, and all that matters to Tomlin is keeping his non losing regular season streak in tact. They both deserve each other

He should have been fired five years after leading the team to a Super Bowl victory and three years after helping the team get back there. Please apply logic and try again.

I know you are not suggesting the players have any say if a coach is kept or fired. But if all these players love him so much why doesn't that translate to better play on the field? Players can be attached to a coach without that translating to a successful coach

However, McCarthy's win percentage has been close to 75% the last 3 seasons which speaks for the present. You have to admit that the Steelers were "built to win" in some of those playoff losses. I'm sure they believed they were.

I don't see how they can hire a good OC if Tomlin goes into the season as a lame duck HC.

Marty getting canned had more to do with not getting along with his GM.

They're not going to whether they extend Tomlin or not, they'll just promote within the ranks like they always do

I don't care about the non-losing season. The only people that care about that are the media and yinzers.

I like Tomlin, I like him as the Steeler coach.

My opinion does not matter though, neither does yours, the medias, or any other fans. The only opinion that matters is the owner of the team.

In what company do the employees make the decisions. Sometimes blind loyalty is just that blind. They know nothing different than Tomlin so they don't even know what they don't know at the professional level. Funny how Harrison went to New England and was blown away how detailed BB was. It is literally surreal that we are sitting here and results like this are securing the man a contract extension worth millions for these results. Literally Tomlin should wear a ski mask to work every week because its literally robbery!
