    Don't walk away. RUN!!!

Tomlin will be back. He will lie to you and say it is an open competition. Guess what? He is going to give the job back to Pickett no matter what.

Take the money. Go with a team that is going to give you a legit shot.

Probably the truth here. Or he’ll get talked into staying, and then we trade for Justin Fields!

Also, Tomlin's teams will always have a leaky and unprepared defense in the playoffs. It's been that ways even during SB win year. It's his speciality. Mason did well under the circumstances. There was no one open in the end zone and Mason was trying to make a desperate play. That happens when your defense doesn't show signs of stopping the opposition. Should have thrown it away, but they needed a score bad. He did have two nice TD's later on.

Don't know if Mason can be the #1 for a team, but he looked pretty solid. Seems like a nice guy, great teammate and works at his craft. I hope he goes to another team. He's in a tough spot. Pickett will play.

I wish that wasn't the truth, as Mason gave his all today. Pickens let him down and coaching let him down. He does own the pick but thats where coaching should have had us pound that rock a bit there after putting them on their heels on that drive!!

No. We need to sign him and commit to him. Dude needs his window with us, and at least a couple of offseasons and seasons with the first team.

I hope it's a competition. Wouldn't be adverse to give him Trubisky type money for two years.

5 wide on goal to go, with this team, was an incompetent play call.

When your defense doesn't show any signs of stopping their offense, you become desperate and take unnecessary risk as a qb. Ben has fallen into the same trap in all of his playoff losses last decade. At least, Mason tried to bring us back, but defense kept leaking.

Sure. But we all know that is not going to happen. Tomlin is going to start the season with Pickett. Rudolph could throw 10 preseason TD passes on 10 passing attempts, and Tomlin is going to start Pickett.

Rudolph displayed the best quarterback play the Steelers have had since the first half of 2020. He deserves to go somewhere where he has a legit shot.

No, what we know is that Pickett is done. Pickett was not highly touted first round pick to get the benefit of his full rookie contract to lead the team. He got his 2 years in, and it was not good, it was terrible, and it is over. He will not lead us anywhere.

I agree. I know the guy didn't set the world on fire his first go around, but what did he have to work with? I think he got pushed to the back of the line and was simply a little more than an afterthought to the coaching staff. I think he'll sign elsewhere if Tomlin comes back, and I don't blame him at all. He owes this organization nothing.

Mason knows what's up, he's not dumb enough to fall for Tomlin's tricks

Rudolph and the offense only scored 17 points today. Even if the defense played well today they would still have lost because the offense only scored 17 points. At least when Ben struggled, he still scored a lot of points.

Mason is a career backup. Don't let the garbage play of Pickett and Trubisky cloud reality. Just because he's played better recently than those other two backups doesn't make him a legit NFL starter all of a sudden.

Tomlin isn't going anywhere. We all know how this story goes. This time next year the Steelers will be celebrating their 18th non- losing season

But we went conservative soft when we got into fg range, pickett kills a drive that is just getting started and our game plan early was very conservative. I like Mason with a healthy team and improved line. If there is sure thing better option great but picking probably 20th probably not gonna be there!!

I don't know. Rudolph played like a veteran these past 4 games. He showed some poise. He goes through his progressions. I like the fact that with him under center the Steelers had an identity. Pound the rock and throw the ball down the field.

I think Rudolph has a chance to be more than a backup. I just don't think that will happen in Pittsburgh.

They would have had more possessions if defense played well. They were down 21-0 on the road. Bills had 7 more minutes of time of possession. We couldn’t stop their run or pass game. The defense looked exactly like they did in the first game this season against 49ers except we scored points to make it interesting going into 4th quarter.
