Mason is a FA I believe? He might get an offer he can’t refuse.

Mike, you have a year left on your contract.... exit stage left....

Longest playoff drought for the steelers since 1970 and the owners about to extend him. Mind boggling.

No, would go with Pickett and bring in a veteran backup. Still believe Pickett has more potential than Rudolph. We just saw what Rudolph is after 6 years, and it ain't great. Let him be a backup somewhere else.

How dare anyone question this man who never had a losing season and leads average teams to get slaughtered in the post season

Mason is better than any QB's available in free agency and will play better than any rookie Steelers will draft. Steelers will not draft a QB in first round as they drafted Pickett last year in first round, and drafting another this year will be admitting mistake. Steelers don't admit to mistakes.....not their style.

The standard is the standard, which has been clearly established as mediocrity.

If you mean he is a backup somewhere and starts a game or two because of injury, ok. But no team in their right minds is starting the year with Rudolph as the starter.

Big Mike needs to go. This team is never prepared. He is constantly out coached everytime.

Technically Trevor's Hero Ball mentality did.... well... that.. along with Pittsburgh making it easier to get in via winning. That said, agreed all the same. Playoffs should have been wrapped up after beating Arizona!!!....

    ... oh wait..

He is a lot better than Pickett can ever hope to be. He had one bad interception. He also had Two TD's and the game would have been different if Pickens didnt fumble (Picken was also held on 4th down). The play calling was also too predictable and unimaginative with running Najee when they have 8 men in the box.

Yeah, but those mistakes and lack of fundamentals, like tackling, are not corrected. It's been going on for the last decade or so, especially playoff futility. It's just cringe season after season

He left the podium because it was probably too emotional, it hit him, and he was not ready for emotional.
