My thoughts on the wildcard...

1. This is a different game without the 1st half turnovers

2. TJ Watt's absence was majorly felt

3. Losing JPJ later was just as big

4. Defense lost contain on Josh Allen way too much

5. Tackling skills are sorely lacking

6. Refs totally missed that pi late in the game

7. Watching Presley Harvin get out punted by a guy with a bad hamstring really stuck in my side

8. Figured the middle of the defense would be picked on

9. Please extend Eric Rowe

10. Please let Miles Jack retire again

11. Absolutely no reason for us not to be lighting up the scoreboard on a weekly basis next season

12. It's been real....looking forward to the combine and draft

 

It's a good thing they made the playoffs, otherwise it would have been possible that the Steelers would have felt way too good about their team after a 3 game winning streak in the same way they felt too good after their 4 game winning streak last year....They kept Canada a big reason because of that

Now they will have big things to do....We can't stay stuck in the middle....

 

13. The Steelers desperately need a new Head Coach.

This new second job of mine has been whipping my butt and I have not been able to nearly watch as much football overall as I had wanted to; doubly so in seasons pass. I didn't like the fake slide by Allen. Aren't the rules that as soon as the QB begins his slide the play is over. Not during his slide, not after his slide, but as soon as he is preparing to stop and go into his slide the Defense must immediately stop.

During Allens big run he stopped his forward progress and looked like he was going to slide, and the entire defense stopped, and then Allen pulled up and started running again.

He balled in the 2nd half. He and DJ were impressive, hungry.

I never wanted Jack back, but we were DESPERATE at ILB. he played decent for 2 - 3 games.

The fumble and interception would have made it closer, but Tomlin's defense wouldn't have stopped Bills when it mattered. We are 1-12 or something without TJ. It's the same frigging leaky defense in every playoff game this decade

The end zone INT sucked, but you know what was even worse? Letting a team then take that and march 80+ yards down the field for a TD, basically unscathed. That can't happen. But, the sh*tty Steelers D made it look easy af. If the INT happened mid field it would have been brutal, but it was on the deep far end. No excuse for not being able to hold them to at least to 3, but 0 shouldn't have been difficult.

 

Once again the great coach and motivator Tomlin has his team coming out looking flat and completely lost in a playoff game. He has that down to an artform

That guy has a lot of athletic talent, I think it is an indictment of the coaches that he can’t see the field.

I keep hearing about how much talent they have, but where's the speed on defense? The Bills made them look like they were running backwards. Also, somebody ought to teach them how to make a basic tackle. I saw a lot of guys just trying to arm tackle, and diving into the ground for no apparent reason

 

True. Someone should do an audit of every member of the Steelers D just to make sure there aren't any conspicuous deposits that can be traced back to somewhere in Vegas.

 

My thoughts are the NFL and Refs got exactly what they wanted. Chiefs vs Bills. Mahomes vs Allen.

 

The biggest decision and biggest acquisition this offseason will be the new offensive coordinator......bigger than any draft pick....
