    Goodell and the NFL:

The game between the Steelers and Buffalo will be a game for the ages! Epic!

Just watch as the cameras will be worse then the game between the Steelers and Ravens!

Just watch as each teams gets buried in a white out squall!

Just watch as the ball sails out of the stadium in 50 to 60 mile an hour winds after a punt, long pass, field goal attempt.

Just watch as players fall down, fumble and possibly get injured!

The ratings will be though the roof! The roof I tell you!

They may go by bus it’s only 3 hours stadium to stadium

It would be easier safer and quicker than flying

They have to be there by 7 pm fyi

18 hours before kickoff the team must be in the city they play

I watched a Bears game that was so foggy the announcers couldn’t tell if it was a run or a pass

What I listed above is for Buffalo

The game is 17 minutes away in Orchard Park and the weather forecast for there is significantly different

If you haven't experienced "lake effect" snow, it's not what you're used to. Someone said no big deal, we have Nor'easters. With a Nor'easter, everyone gets blasted. 6 years ago we got a Nor'easter here in upstate NY, got 36" inches of snow, and everyone got around 36" of snow. PA, all of upstate.
With Lake Effect snow, you get snow bands. We got lake effect three years ago, got 44" of snow. 20 miles from us, they got 6". You can be driving in blinding snow, turn a corner around a mountain, and flurries. Another 4 or 5 miles, and nothing. It just depends on where the snow gods decide is going to get pounded.

I live north of Pittsburgh and south of Erie and we are on the edge of lake effect snow

Sometimes it ends just at the county line south of me as if god did that on purpose

44” of snow is just amazingly debilitating. I got nearly 40” of snow in one storm in CT about a decade ago, and it took me 13 hours from before sunrise until after sunset to clear my driveway. Due to drifting my driveway had 43” at the shallowest point up to 52”. At the time I had a Craftsman 24” wide, <15” high intake snowblower. It took the town a few days to make my road passable with one lane, and nearly a week to actually clear it for 2-way traffic. I was on a curving hill that the truck plows couldn’t handle. They needed to wait for a contractor with a big tractor mounted snowblower. For my part I went right out and bought a 30” Ariens with an intake that’s about 2’ high. It’s never been tested with anything more than maybe 30” of snow at the apron from the snowplows, and it handles that with ease as long as it’s not iced up. I hope to never need to test it on anything more than that.

The only advantage to lake effect snow is that since it tends to be local, you get a lot of help from nearby areas that didn't get slammed as hard. They can call in the crews from a county or two over that got little or nothing.

Last Sunday, ticket prices for the Steelers at Bills opened at a low of $210. Saturday morning, you can get tickets for $73. For a playoff game.
Dolphins at Chiefs (-3 degrees, wind chills of -40) can be had for $29.00.
Rams at Lions in a dome- $350.00

That's the game that Curtis Martin had over 200 yards rushing against us. Kordell Stewart was 0-10 passing in that game.

My drive way is 1/4 mile long through a bunch of trees shoveling is not an option

I have 4wd and real tires for snow so up to 12” I’m ok

Fortunately after that my neighbor with a large tractor and plow shows up but that’s seldom happened

I believe in the Steelers but it goes without saying they are going to have to be able to pound the rock with Harris and Warren.

A few years ago (early 90s) I lived near Beckley, WV, which is over 2,400 ft. above sea level, and we got close to three feet of snow. About 50 miles north of us in Charleston, WV, which is about 600 ft. above sea level, they got ZERO snow and only had freezing rain. Some of these weather bands in the mountains can be crazy.
