I can't see him choosing to coach at the college level.

If he wanted to I think he would be hugely successful at it. He’d get all the best players.

I'm sure he could do it, but I'm far from certain he would want to do it.

This is true, I would have hoped Dan hammered home some teachings to Art II in all
fields related to running a football team. I personally like the hires of Art II, I believe they are good advisors and people
and are cognizant of what this team means to the Rooney's and the city and Western Pa.

It was pointed out to me that Art took over in 2003.

I don't believe it. LoL. Actually I do....I forgot, but Stan, and some others said it was also a helping factor of Why Bill C. left....not the only reason, but one of them. I read ,and heard He didn't like, and ,or get along with the son. Also on the retirement speech....watch how Bill treats the Dad, and the son.

I always wonder how we would have done with Whiz, since he was an offensive minded Coach!

    LOL

Seriously, Whisenhunt's 48-71 record as a head coach is more evidence that the Steelers made the right choice in hiring Tomlin.

I'm sure he still loves coaching, but he does seem tired ... during that 3 game slide it looked like it took a lot out of him.

I’m sure this season was difficult for him and his family. I don’t blame him for wanting to step away. If he does, let’s hope it’s a quick decision as there will be much competition for a few good coaches

Posturing for terms of the contract extention. I get no indication that MT wants to stop coaching, he loves it! He knows he negotiating with Fredo, he takes advantage.

There’s an awful lot of smoke blowing around this story right now so I’m starting to believe there might be some credibility to it.

His wife wants him to take a break. And I agree with her.

If Florio says it who really likes Tomlin there is merit.
