Got the 10 points last night

I'm down here in Florida right now. Anyway six of us sitting around a table yesterday. So I wasn't real serious but I threw it out there, and asked if anyone wanted to give me the 10 points? Sure enough a buddy from Illinois, jumped up and took the bet.
Now Outside of a football pool I rarely bet a game. But there was something about those 10 points, the way the NFL games have been going, and the Steelers peeking in late season. So the handshake was shook and I got skin in the game.

 

The only reason it is 10 is because TJ Watt is not playing. It’s incredible that a defensive player means that much to Vega$. I never bet on the Steelers but if I did I would throw money on that line. I think this team is actually going shock the world on Sunday and outright win just because there are hints that it could be MT’s last game for the Steelers as HC and the team is going to really play hard for him.

10 on almost any NFL game is a big line let a lone a playoff game.

But I remember the Steelers being a 13.5 Point home favorite against the Chargers in 1994 and they lost the game.

So in the NFL it can always happen.

The Steelers montra this year has been when they lose, they usually get shell shocked in the score and most wins they have won by one score.

Minus TJ Watt this line went to 10.

Nick Herbig gonna have to ball out in some big way enormous shoes to fill, and Highsmith is getting paid handsomely he can longer disappear he has to show up and show up now, you know Alex can do it but he's been very quite last 1/3 of the Regular season.

 

For the game, looks like no snow, but there will be wind. If it`s windy enough, deep passing and kicking may be affected. Maybe bettors should go for the under on points.

 

Steelers should be giving 10 points!!!

 

The defense will be giving up some chunk plays down the middle. It's a curse for many years now.

My hope is the offense can offset that and get a couple defensive splash plays near the red zone.

 

Bend no break

 

The line is 10 due to a Wattage shortage. Even with Watt and Minkah in there I think it would have been 7.5-8. A very untested QB on our side would have kept the line over 7.

I got 9.5 at the good old Casino. I should have waited. I was sure it would go lower so I jumped on 9.5. Took over too at 36.

Steelers may not win but I'm fairly confident they will give them a game. Weather favors the lower score but I've been burnt on that before.

 

The over seems sound.

 

I'm not touching this game. If we get blown out I'll be mad enough without losing $ too.

Just out of curiosity I did look at what you can get if you bet on all 6 underdogs to win (moneyline, not just cover) A bet of only $15 will win you over 10k.

 

My luck means if I bet it there is no chance of it hitting and if I skip it then all 6 teams will win without any problem.

 

I used to be really into football betting around 35 years ago. What finished me was a game where North Carolina State was favored over Duke by 1.5 points. NC St was down by 5 when they hit a hail Mary to go up by one with a second left on the clock. I was counting my money because all they had to do was kick the XP and cover the spread but the fans ran on the field and tore the goal posts down so the refs waived off the XP try and called it a game. I never bet again.

Geez that seems like my luck. I quit betting on the Steelers when Bubby Brister fumbled that unexpected snap in the playoff game against Denver back in the 80’s.

 

I'd bite but that setup is beneath my standards
