It’s the right thing to do, really this game will determine if MR can be a starter or is just a backup

He was asked at the end, how come Kenny is #1 on your depth chart and you are not going with Kenny?

Anyone see this Mason Rudolph Staying Alive clip from Benestonium? Too good not to share. I hope it allows me. I deleted the link as it won’t open. Anyone on Facebook looking it up. It’s a pretty entertaining clip of Mason in the opening of Saturday Night Fever.

It would be ludicrous to do anything else at this point. If nothing else I dont think the players would want to go back to Kenny right now

    But Pickett better be ready.

49ers should have beat eagles last year but had no capable backup.

:roflmao:Not upsetting the apple cart. Another classic cliche. Could have just said Mason is starting this week. Next question. Let’s just hope that cart has some good apples in it. If we win this week is he going to caramelize them?

He’ll be ready. His QB skills may be in question but he’s a pro and a total teammate. Last weeks game he noticed the heater was too far away from Rudolph so he had an attendant help him move it closer to him.

I'm of the opinion that there is nothing here to see.
    The decision is obvious.
I figure most of the free world knew this was the deal.

I am also of the opinion that Kenny will be ready.

The weather should favor our ground game..

This was never in question. Tomlin is stubborn, but he's not that stubborn.

I keep thinking of the playoff loss to the Bills Jan. 9, 1993 (the 1992 season). Neil O'Donnell was the starter, but he was injured in a game Dec. 6. Bubby Brister started in his place. As usual, Brister was erratic, but the choice was to stick with him or go back to O'Donnell after he hadn't played ina month. Cowher went back to O'Donnell and he showed his rust. The offense sputtered in a 24-3 loss.

This is even more obvious because Rudolph is playing a hell of a lot better than Brister was that year.

Tomlin chose to stay with the cold hand to not upset the apple cart earlier this season.

That was the old apple cart. He went back to the market to get a fresh one. Can’t wait to see thee Tomlin impersonator on this one.

To female reporter: Would you feel better if we changed it around? Refering to who is #1 and who is #2 on depth chart, or something to that effect. Then he followed it up with something to the effect: We have a strategy and we are moving forward with our strategy. (It's not tactical, it's bigger, it's strategic.)

Rudolph or Bust is the title of the thread,

Was it also the list of Tomlin’s options this week? Rudolph or the Bust they drafted last year.

Win or lose, I hope that Mason has a good game. The last three games he has been outstanding and I think that most Steelers fans are appreciative of his play over those games. If he has a bad game, I'm sure a lot of people will say he was lucky or an unknown quarterback and that gave him an advantage or something like that. But if he has a good game, even if we lose, I think that the Steelers will have to try and keep him and pay him a fair bit more than minimum.

We all know that Kenny is not going anywhere. Mason has free agency coming up. Mitch is still under contract but has been an extreme disappointment and is going to cost far more than his value has been. I don't see how the Steelers can allow two quarterbacks to slide away leaving them with only Kenny. I think they have to pursue Mason and let Mitch go.
