You went to the Giants-Patriots Superbowl last year?

No, sorry. I messed up the post. I meant that I went to the SF game last year when Tomlin played Ben.

What a mess. And what a dump Candlestick is.

And doesn't that look familiar - the Steelers taking possession inside their 10 yard line. :lolol:

It doesn't matter if a doctor clears your QB to play. It doesn't matter if your QB says "I'm good to go". When your QB is limping coming out of the huddle and becomes a sitting duck, its a detriment to your offense and its the head coaches job to take him out and put someone else in.

The QB threw his 2nd TD pass AFTER he was injured and limping around. The coach obviously felt like RG3 still gave them their best chance to win. Lets slow down a little on the Kirk Cousins love here, the guy looked good against Cleveland, but he wasn't exactly a highly touted rookie coming out of college. QB's are overvalued in the draft, so for a QB to slip into the 4th round usually means they are destined to be a career backup, at best. Perhaps Shanahan has more faith in a very banged up RG3 than he does in a healthy Kirk Cousins.

Now I'm not even saying I agree with the decision to keep RG3 in the game, but unless you were a doctor who evaluated RG3 during that game, you have no idea how bad his injury really was. He was unable to run, we all know that, but he's a very good pocket passer. He can sit in the pocket and sling it all day long. Perhaps him being ineffective was just as much due to the defence adjusting as it was to his injury. Seattle shut down other teams all year long, so it wouldn't be a big shock if they adjusted and managed to shut down RG3 as well, injury or no injury.

There may be a right and wrong answer in this situation, but unless you truly knew how injured he was and how good Kirk Cousins is, you have no idea what the correct answer is. Besides, very few NFL coaches would yank their starting QB due to injury unless the QB couldn't go back in.

Can I get some clarification on those who say that Mike Tomlin is an idiot? You really think he is an idiot? Really?

Rex Ryan is an idiot. Any fool can see that! But Mike Tomlin? Night of the Living Brain dead...

Some Steeler fans are like Yankee fans, spoiled to the bone. Pathetic.

Oh but he did, in SF last year. #7 couldn't protect himself. And this wasn't even a playoff game.
