I don’t think you have to worry about Tomlin stealing Rudolph away to build a franchise around.

Draft Picks! A couple of 1's and a 2 would be nice

I think he would. But I think Mason would tell him to go screw himself.

If Mike walked away. Do we still get draft picks?

His contact ends at the end of 2024. So he either quits on the team for not coaching for a year Or he coaches 2024.

Because that is the same thing as having to go into the playoffs without the best defensive player in the league, both inside linebackers and possibly two of their top three safeties.

They haven't always. Before Chuck Noll, they weren't that good.

Well he was hired in 1969... they've been pretty good the past 54 years. Super Bowl 1 was played in 1967 and my father was 9 pre-Noll. Since its been the NFL, the Steelers have done well.

I would laugh so hard if Jim harbaraugh Bevan out coach. He would own his brother.

If Tomlin walks, he has to sit at home for a year, right? Or be traded?

What is he supposed to say? How do you answer stupid questions seeming to care? Have you ever seen a Bill Belichek news conference? A guy on here said Tomlin was polarizing from the time he arrived in Pittsburgh. I asked why and he didn’t know why? Another guy said he is a problem because he was a “Diversity” hire. What does that even mean? Then he started in on the Rooney rule and said they had to hire him? The rule is simply that you have to interview a minority candidate.

I'm unsure how long he'd have to sit it out for. Sean Payton sat out a year and was traded. So I'd imagine that would the likely scenario here. Although, I'm sure DC or LA is very enticing for him especially LA considering his wife's profession.

If the team makes a run in the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does walk. This last season couldn’t have been easy on him and going out on a good note looks attractive. He definitely doesn’t want to go through what Belichik is going through right now

If he doesn’t dismiss it tomorrow at his press conference then it’s true. He normally shuts that stuff down as soon as rumors swirl just like he did when it was rumored that he wanted to coach college ball.

Washington's new owner seems to be a pro at what he does.
They've brought in a couple guys to advise and are seeking consulting as well.
They have $90Mil in cap space and the #2 pick in the draft.

If the like Tomlin and Pittsburgh is even fathoming moving on, Washington most likely would be the one to make the deal happen.

    As far as Tomlin goes:
It's been a taxing year no doubt. A lot of the pain was self-Inflicted.
The critique seems to come from the Fantasy Footballers armchairs.
Seems like the Steelers front office is behind Tomlin 100%
He's hugely respected and I would imagine he would have his pick, even if he takes the year off.

I do think that if he returns, he needs to update his staff some. I know he's getting a new OC and hopefully, it is from the outside.
I have 100% confidence that if he goes to Washington, he is not looking at Mason as first choice.

You know the players have some influence in the outcome of the game? Like you call a pass, receiver drops pass, pass not complete. That can have a small but noticeable effect on the game.
