He is the opposite extreme of Pickett and I think you realize that it can be a problem even if you don't want to admit it. What they need is for their quarterback to hang in the pocket when possible, but understand when it is time to move within the pocket and when it is time to bail. Rudolph often fails to do those last two things. I'm not sure he is capable of developing a good feel for the pass rush around him. He didn't have to deal with it much against the Bengals and Seahawks.

The difference is that Pickett is only in year two. Rudolph is in year six. I think a quarterback entering year three has a better chance of fixing his flaws than one entering year seven.

He was far more athletic and accurate. (I'm looking at entire careers here, not three games.)

    I love that movie, but..

Mac Davis thowing ball in last scene kind of ruins the whole movie. It's obvious he never threw a football in his life

To me, the last time we saw him he looked like a young quarterback with promise. He had some work to do for sure and made some mistakes but most young quarterbacks do. But he showed enough potential that could have been developed if the Steelers had an adequate offensive coaching staff in place. Instead, they inexplicably dropped him like a hot potato. Same with Pickett. He’s shown some good things so far and has also shown some tendencies that are concerning. But I’m hoping that once a competent OC and offensive coaching staff is brought in that that they can at least develop him to a level that he’s a good backup for Rudolph. ;):smiley1:

I hated so bad that they killed off Newt and Hicks like that. Weaver totally sold out, she never should have agreed to that. You could have had them survived the crash and just put them in ICU and not have them in the movie that way. Ruined the whole movie for me that otherwise would have been good, lot of it had the feel of the first movie.

Thats funny about the computer picture of Hicks, didn’t know that.

When Aikman started his 13th game he was 23 yrs old. Mason is 28. 5 yrs is an eternity in QB development. Though I really don’t think you’re comparing Mason to Troy, are you?

Browns "#1" defense getting flushed down in 1st half. They sell out to stop run and Houston burning them with the pass.

Wow. Maybe Tomlin really is thinking of taking time off. Just mentioned again on live broadcast just now. Maybe it is more than posturing by Mike to get longer term contract.

Browns fans are used to humiliation and failure. Hard to believe they were favored in this game, LOL.

If Tomlin leaves, hire this Texans OC. He did wonders with a young QB.

Hey good thing the Browns have the DPOY on their team ... they aren't out of it yet. He will surely turn the game around.
