It worked out great for us. The Portuguese folks loved watching commercials anyway because the whole experience was something new to them.

I may be wrong but I think Portugal has IMO the smartest drug laws in the world. Now I may have wrong country but didn't they de-criminalize all drugs and it worked out real well for their society???

Per this article. Yes - possession is decriminalized but there is treatment available. Unfortunately they face cost pressure to reduce the program making it less effective

https://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu...sion remains, identified user of illegal drugs.

Yes, at the time I had interest there. I haven't looked into it recently.
They are working on a much smaller scale than a country like the USA though.

I spent 15 months in the Azores back in the 80s and we had to be careful with our pot smoking then.

It`s just a matter of time before everything on TV is "a la carte." The mess we see now is just the beginning of the transition.

Unfortunately it will come to that with the greedy owners driven by Goodell. The highest bidder.

I'm just wondering if the game will be on CBS. Can't get a definitive answer yet.

Even in a sell out situation which we have here in PGH, it is
coming that us fans will be paying to watch our home town team
on local Tv. This is greed nothing more nothing less.

Nobody is exempt from getting older so to those that support the NFL for all those years it's a shame.

Nothing is free except the air you breathe. Some day they'll attach a tax to that .

it all comes down to what a person’s priorities are I guess. For me I like to watch TV and I like to watch sports especially the Steelers so I don’t mind paying for that. There’s other things that I would love to have, but are not a big priority, so I have to pick and choose what I spend my money on.

International games, games only on streaming services. The NFL defines greed at the highest level. But they know that they have us hooked.

Sadly I can see that day coming. Be a good time to own a bar;) Pretty sure the money coming in would cover the subscription cost.

I think a lot of member do not have Comcast. Not sure about this but they might start charging us 5-6 dollars coming soon???????????????? I love it for the early Golf coverage but once they start charging me I'm out.

I go back to the days where MLB ruled the roost. The NFL had been around for awhile but nothing like you have today. They pretty much made the Super Bowl a Holiday. And if for some reason it was on a weekday it would have been declared a Holiday;)
