On the play, Looks like an impact wound, bruise/contusion...not a twist of MCL or ACL.

Wishful thinking, you could clearly see TJ's knee buckle to the side. Knees aren't designed to go that way.

My son and I were at that game against Detroit in Three Rivers when it happened. He was trying to tackle Barry Sanders. I believe that O"Dunghead broke his pinky in that game.

Watt unfortunately would not be playing IF they make the playoffs. The only good news is that is was not an ACL.

Tough break but it’s somewhat heartening knowing you’ve got Golden and Herbig ready to step in if need be instead of Malik Reed.

That helps, but Watt is special. He was doing a lot to help cover for all of the other injuries. I can’t see this team winning a playoff game without him.

Damn, the one guy we couldn't afford to lose is out. The injury to TJ overshadows their victory yesterday, almost feels like they lost

The near fact there is nothing in the Steelers web page clearly shows they do not know for certain the degree of injury

Therefore no one here does either other than pure speculation some educated some not so much

TJ certainly is special. The best player on the team for several years now.

If they get in all isn’t lost in my opinion due to the guys I mentioned though. If I felt like you I probably wouldn’t even watch.

Pretty sure he meant it was the best outcome, that it’s only a grade 2

They had no realistic shot to beat the Chiefs last time they were in the playoffs. I watched every minute of it anyway. I am a fan regardless of the situation, but unlike you, I'm realistic.

It is still good news that he didn't suffer an injury that will affect him into next season, but if they get in, they would likely play the Bills or Dolphins next week. The Dolphins will have Waddle and Mostert back by then. They could have played today, but the Dolphins are more focused on getting healthy than they are on winning tonight. The Dolphins are the easiest of the three possible matchups. There is a chance it would be the Chiefs, but Mahomes has owned the Steelers. The only way to beat him is a great pass rush. Good luck doing that all day without Watt.

If by some miracle they won next week without Watt, they would be the lowest remaining seed, which means a rematch with the Ravens. Watt is a big reason why they have done so well against Jackson in the past. I'll still watch and still hope, but man, it doesn't look good even if they get the help they need today.

This. Sure we can speculate, but when someone argues their theory without any real information then they just look like an ass to me. Even

Still a multipile weeks out injury, even a grade 1. I guess we should be glad it wasn't his ACL, but it's still a bummer

I just had a total knee replacement a little more than 8 weeks ago and I can tell you all without a shadow of a doubt that I have no idea how to diagnose an MCL tear or sprain from my couch.

Very unfortunate injury the way it happened. Looks like he is out for any remaining games the team may have this season in any case.

Hopefully he is back to 100% for next season

This isn’t last time they made the playoffs against the Chiefs.

I really couldn’t care less about your pessimism but I’m just curious why you choose to try and push it on me? I never asked for your opinion or how you felt/thought. This is football, guys get hurt. You can cry and feel hopeless but keep that negativity over there. Let’s go Titans!

    No, highly unlikely.
