If Haley wasnt interested in the job, why would he go for an interview?

I'm guessing this interview is just semantics at this point. The previous report was that Haley was holding off until he knew their interest was real.

Agree with everything in that article.
I couldn`t blame Todd for leaving if he gets a head coaching opportunity, but I truly hope he doesn`t.
This offense was looking waaaay better than the old one, for the first half of the season...
Then, whether it was just because of injuries, or not, the 2nd half, the play-calling, seemed completeley different.
I believe Haley could work wonders with the talent here, assuming even half the players stay healthy...
I am still scratching my head at a few playcalls, during the latter half of the season, but if he had kept going the way he had before Ben got hurt, and if we didn`t keep shooting ourselves in the foot with turnovers, and penalties, I believe he has the right idea, for how to get the most out of the players we have.
It certainly can`t help us to bring in a new O.C., when we were just learning this one`s system...
    Learning curve, all over again.
And I really didn`t agree with a lot of posters here, that it was such a big deal, to do the "runningbacks by committee" thing...
I figured, they were all decent, and it should be more of a headache, for the defenses, to not be able to prepare for one particular style.
They could get worn down by Dwyer/Redman, then have to adjust to the speed/ moves of Mendy/Rainey.
I was DEFINITELEY wrong about that one...
Tomlin needs to pick his horses, number 1, 2 and three... and use them that way!
(assuming they`re all healthy), and I think he is smart enough to have learned from his mistake there, this season.
    GO STEELERS...
Btw, good article, "Era", I`m usually not a huge fan of "Bleacher Report", but sometimes they do have insightful articles, like this one. I just never rely on them for solid info, since they are like the "wickipedia" of Sports blogs... Thanx for sharing, tho... I enjoyed this one.

Maybe, Haley has had enough of # 7 already
or visa versa. I am still not sure this relationship
will ever have a happy ending. Two very stubborn men,
    something has to give.

If the job is offered, I can't see him turning it down unless he doesn't have a good relationship with Steve Keim.

I think they probably do, I think thats why Bidwell probably chose him as GM. Usually GM's go and hire their own coach but if Keim has a good relationship with Haley then he'd be on board with hiring him.

Matt Cavanaugh is always available to be an NFL OC, but other than fact that he played fot Pitt in '76, turned Bill Stull into, well, Bill Stull, and presided as QB coach over the meteoric development of Mark Sanchez ......what has he done to merit an OC job??

funny place this msg board, BA takes a horrible team and a rookie QB to the playoffs and he was a terrible OC. Matt Cavanaugh has 8 straight so-so yrs as a QB coach, and he's the man

well BA ain't coming back anytime soon and haley may also be leaving. we would then have an opening for an OC. the jets did before sanchez's meltdown go to the AFC championship game 2 years in a row. the first one sanchez was a rookie. farther then BA took luck i might add.

They got there largely because of their defence. Their offence has always been mediocre at best.

Jets are going in the wrong direction and so has Sanchez, he and the team have gotten worse each year. There are much better choices then this guy out there.

If Haley leaves, I'm hoping for Chan Gailey or Hue Jackson. Especially Jackson! He seemed to have great balance and creativity in his playcalling.
