Well, here we are at the end of the regular season, with a 10-7 record.

Now, had one guessed this as the final regular season record before the season started, I doubt anyone would have been really surprised. But to get to 10-7 this way? Hard to believe, because most figured that the Steelers would lose the last 2 games- and beat the Patriots and Cardinals.

So, is it an odd feeling to be 10-7 anyway? Or in the end are these 2 wins a wash with those 2 losses? Figuring that if those games are won, Mitch keeps playing Qb and they lose the last 2 of 3 with him?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I feel good with this 10-7, even if it's not the one that gets us into the playoffs. Any year with 2 wins over the Ravens has to be good, right?

I will be fine with the 10-7 record if they are in the playoffs...If this is not the case,it will be painful once again....

Exactly, and also why trying to figure out a final record by picking every game before the season is such a waste of effort.

If they had not started Trubisky for 2 games and went with Rudolph, I'm sure the Steelers win one of those two games.

Tomlin and the coaching staff really muffed that one.

If you’d told me that the Steelers would be 5-1 against the AFC North, I’d have said we’d win the division going away.

Would be a shame not to get into the tournament after this run with Mason.

5-1 in the conference, sweep both the Bengals and Ravens and win all 3 games out west. And still might miss the playoffs.

Its why every game matters. The ones that really hurt are the 2-10 losses obviously, but Pickett getting out dueled by DTR in Cleveland really hurts too. This is why I think we REALLY need to move on from Pickett and get a real QB. This team could easily have been a 12 win team. They could have been an 11 or 12 win team with garbage QB play for 85% of the season. This team is a QB away from having a real shot at doing some damage in the playoffs. Hopefully we will get to see Mason give it a go next week in the playoffs. Go Phins and Go Titans.

Especially if the only loss was to Cleveland.

I guess it was the right 10-7 after all.

Which again, beginning of the season, I tell you we go 10-7 and are a wild card team. Many would say, yeah I can see that. But what a wild road to get there.
