Why is Mason suddenly held to this standard where he has to have a perfect game, every game and if has one even slightly subpar performance, he needs to be benched and he's just a career backup. How many truly awful, far worse games did we endure under Trubisky and even Kenny Pickett before either of them were benched?

The weather in this game is an equalizer. Unless it starts clearing up, it's going to be a problem all game, regardless of QB. Asking Mason to be immune to the weather is a tall order. The offensive playcalling has also been putrid and that's not Mason's fault.

 

I stick up for Kenny but also want Mason to do well. Pulling him for Pickett right now is not the right move, IMO.
