After losing to Dallas last night, Lions coach Dan Campbell said his team would see these guys (Cowboys) again in a few weeks. As it was set up, that was highly unlikely and improbable.

With the Eagles blowing a home game vs Arizona, the Cowboys now have the inside track to the 2 seed and assuming both the Lions and Cowboys win in the WC round, they'd play each other again in a few weeks.

No way that Campbell could have thought would happen unless........

I hear a player or a coach say that every year to another team, so if you think it's fixed because of that, I mean come on...

So a coach made an emotional statement after a controversial loss and that means the NFL is rugged?

Not to mention that implies coaches have all been told who is going to lose and they're all ok with it? And the owners are ok with less revenue due to a planned loss? And does that mean the lion's sucking for decades and losing out on playoff revenue was planned and the owner is okay with that?

I swear, some people don't use their head.

Don't walk too far south or you might fall off the earth.

Those type of losses soon heading into the playoffs can be devastating. the eagles have had recent issues, but that was ugly. lol

Yeah that why I brought it up:shrug:
Because a bunch of people told me how much better the eagles were run, and how much better their HC is....yet they lost to the Cardinals just like we did, but worse.....they lost to the Cardinals with their starting Qb....which We didn't.
Hope that explains why I said it.

I agree...The eagles defense gave up like 30 PPG in the last 5 games....The cards had 4 TD on 4 drives in the second half yesterday

I still have not figured out the whole story, but apparently the ref(s) did mess up, and there is actually a rule where the commissioner can overrule the outcome of a game. Do not know if that has ever happened, with legal gambling I'm not sure it would ever be use, can you imagine the lawsuits. lol

But the NFL did send a video package to all the teams, instructing them on how to properly identify and handle a situation where you bring in an T eligible.

Honestly the entire officiating thing has gone beyond a joke, I honestly do not care if they are 95% correct, and yes mistakes will happen, but this whole thing just highlight the problem they have, and the answer is not to correct the Refs, it is to instruct teams. lol

I don't see how it can be fixed since people can't keep their mouth shut. It would leak out. That said, if I was a Ref in the NFL I would never have let them know I was a Steeler fan and I'm sure I'd be favorable to the Steelers. I do believe it is possible for any official to make bad calls if they favor a team but they have to take that secret to the grave.

Well waving the ref flag like the terrible towel, then throwing it at opposing teams may give a hint to your favoritism. lol

Actually if the NFL was fixed....it wouldn't be a situation where there would be a script....it would be too hard to keep quiet, and too many moving parts. It could be a script, but only one ref would have to know. It only takes one ref....., and even then You would only have to have them do something here, or there, and sometimes....He wouldn't have to do anything. It would be really easy with one ref, and whomever did the decision of who should win each week. This whole... they script out the whole game... is pretty funny for anyone that has ever played any sport with a whole team.
