A Moment Of Silence For Va Steel

    It is with great sadness that I post this tonight. I've learned that our longtime member, "Va Steel" has passed away. John ran the weekly pick'em segment here and took it very seriously. I used to talk with him very regularly through email and he would private message me a couple times a week until a few weeks ago. He battled with MS and had other health issues. Last time I talked with him he said he had a "close call", but was out of the hospital and things were getting better. He passed on December 21st. John was a very nice guy and a HUGE Steelers fan. Give him a moment of silence or raise a glass to him.

    Oh man I hate to hear that! That is so sad! Was he an older guy? Did he have kids and a wife? That is just really, really sad. Steeler Nation has lost a great one for sure. Thanks TTF for letting us know that.

    I was afraid of this, I too remember him saying he had a close call and then shortly after hadn't seen him for a while and missed the weekly pickems. Very sad.
