Good one Rich. For sure a great job by Tomlin and company. Guess if Mike had put mason in right off the bat we are not playing for our playoff lives at the moment. And being a steeler fan I remember 2019 real well so theres that too. So as long as that don't happen then that's great. Shades of maybe brady taking Bledsoes job and a dynasty is born....or it's Maddux stepping in for Kordell and well we remember that too.

Tomlin’s a good coach, but I’d much rather have Mason at QB. The day Tomlin inserts himself as the starting QB is the day he needs to go! ;):lolol:

But the genius of D could outwit the apposing D, creating a logjam in the O where we score no points! Oh we were that until recently.

So people have been telling Eisen that Tomlin makes bad coaching decisions. Rich disagrees, then after the 3 bad losses, finally admits he sees where Steelers fans are coming from. Tomlin is forced to use Mason, which Rich admits, then he acts like he was right all along. But all that points to Tomlin making bad decisions about the QB spot, which goes back to the original bad decision making people complained about in the first place. Eisen is spinning this to make himself look good when even what he says points to what people originally complained about.

So let me get this straight. The steelers were in total control of own playoff lives and then KP goes down. Our coach plays a horrible Mitch T. and we lose two horrible home games to the worst teams of the league who are 2-10. He gets desperate and tries Mason who everyone said last year had the best camp of all three qbs. We beat a crummy Cinny team with great d and the play average seattle team where our o line takes over the game. So why did MT not try Mason last year or earlier this year when we had some of the worst QB in team history the past 2 seasons. We should win with a team playing few starters but it will be tight. Hope Miami does not suck again this week.

I don’t think anyone hates Mason

Most of us just see him as he has presented himself

Eisen is buffoon. Same as Sharpe, Bayless and Steve A. He just doesn't yell like some of them.

Honestly, I was calling for us to run Tomlin up the middle in a few of those losses. Good lord. And As a Steelers fan, I live for Rich Eisen’s affirmation

I agree with you about those other three, but I actually like Eisen. I read his book years ago and he’s a pretty humble guy. Most of his book was cool insider stories with him saying throughout that he’s the luckiest guy in the world because he’s basically just a football fan who’s been in the right place at the right time. Worth a read for NFL fans.

I ran into him at the stadium at a Thursday night game a few years ago. It looked like he was returning from a bathroom break and was just casually walking back to the TNF set. He was very cordial to my family and me as we passed him. Seemed like an humble, genuine guy.
