Another Saturday game (4:30 pm EST; 1:30 pm PST) another different network. This time on ABC and ESPN. The last 2 Saturday games were NFL Network and then NBC. When was last time Steelers had 3 Saturday regular season games? I can't remember. Hopefully none of your satellite providers are feuding this time with ABC or ESPN.

Question again - for those with the new YouTube Sunday Ticket - do they black out nationally broadcast games like DTV used to do or do they show everything regardless of who is carrying/streaming it? No matter how you get to view it (even on delay like I may have to), enjoy and hope for the best for chips to fall in place for another game, no matter how slim our chances. :thumbs up:

YouTube TV sucks! The remote sucks the streaming sucks the channel identification sucks. After purchasing I only was able to watch 3 games than I otherwise would have not watched as the Steelers were on locally every other game. So disappointed with this change. Only good thing is I can now watch concerts and some other sports.

I really liked Direct TV except for all the price increases but like everything else it just keeps going up and up and up unlike all our pay increases.

You can customize the channel lineup with YouTube tv. I haven't bc its not a big deal as most of the shows I want to watch are in the recommended section anyway.

That said the nationally televised games are on the local channels.

I hear ya Ward. I often felt that way with DTV and Sunday Ticket many years where by luck or geography dictated that the Steelers were on local network channels and blacked out on DTV which bummed me because I liked the on screen interactive stats that Sunday Ticket featured. Sunday Ticket was often a negotiable item with DTV before AT&T took over and became the Soup Nazi on negotiating anything.

We have actually had a pretty good experience with YouTube TV and I would even put up with some hiccups to not have to pay a bunch of extra money for big wonky equipment and charges for each room you want to watch in.
Their four game window feature is pretty cool and they do it for college games and different sports as well.
It can get glitchy but we haven't dealt with that much.
It did take some time to get the channels and menu figured out but I like it now.

I have the Youtube Sunday ticket and have experienced a black out when the game is either nationally or locally shown. I forget which. Just tuned to the regular broadcast.

I like youtube TV but don't have the Sunday ticket. It's been good but we also have really decent internet. I can see where it might be an issue if the internet service was slow or unreliable. I've never been a fan of directv due to the issues with signal during crappy weather.

We do happen to have good Internet so you're not wrong, Directv is definitely the way to go for people in the country or with crappy internet. It just seemed like they were always piling on extra fees and their customer service could be infuriating at times.

Total waste of money not only for the reasons you have stated but also because all but one game so far has been on TV here.

I assume you're talking about Sunday Ticket instead of YouTube TV? I can assure you that the switch from Direct to YouTube was anything but a waste of money.

I have had DTV for 20 years solely for Sunday Ticket. Only negative thing I have to say about DTV is losing the signal in bad weather.

As for Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV, it has sucked. I havent enjoyed the whole streaming experience. I have to have someone come out and see if maybe it’s the equipment. Can watch the games fine on my ipad but complete waste of time trying to watch on the TV, buffering mess. The TV is a smart TV about 6 or 7 years old, YouTube and a bunch of other providers are already built into it. Maybe it’s too old and the technology not good enough. Shouldn't be the router, just set up with a brand new one. Whatever it is, the experience has sucked.

It's really hard to tell because there are such varied experiences I've read from guys on here. I've had no problems at all but that could be my location. I did like the menu system of Direct better but have gotten used to the YT one. Still, we're saving close to $80/month vs. Direct even with Sunday Ticket so that was the main reason for me.

Yeah, as soon as I stop being lazy I am ditching DTV, Im just wasting money because I also have Verizon internet and phone so will just switch over to that for TV. I’m assuming there is a bundle that will be cheaper than what I am paying for DTV which is a lot.

When I dumped DTV, they made me drive about 30 minutes away to some store to receive the box and they gave me a receipt to officially cancel service. There were maybe a hundred DTV boxes scattered all around in piles on the floor. Really weird sight to see.

I'd try a firestick plugged into the tv. I had an older TV that had the apps built in too but the tv itself was so slow. A firestick worked fine on the tv, but the tv apps always crashed. My tvs purchased within the past 2 years are fine just using the apps on the tv.

Similar experience when I ditched Optimum for DTV. Returned the boxes and same scene.

Thanks for not breaking my heart this week;) Love Saturday 4:30 games. Wish it was all 18 weeks.

TBH, I'm thinking I may use drink and other assorted products and see if I can go to sleep at 4:00 Saturday and wake up Sunday Night finding out we won and watch the Dolphins kick game winning FG. They owe us. Actually if we win I sure the hell hope we get lucky before Sunday night.
