Why does Alan Saunders hate Mason Rudolph so much?

I mean, it's almost pathological at this point, as the dude can literally not bring himself one nice thing to say about the guy, unless the "compliment" is lukewarm-at-best and attached to 2 or 3 criticisms (most of which, usually being criticisms that, ironically enough, could also apply to Kenny, if not more so with the latter, but will somehow fail to acknowledge).

And yet, despite the team never looking better this entire than they have with Mason passing the ball, Alan stays unflinchingly resolute in his opinion that Mason is a nobody that won't be in the NFL next year, while at the same time clinging to this notion that comparatively, KP8 remains, without question, an "elite QB" and " the future of the franchise".

Today, he looks like he's seriously about to cry about Mason having another good game, and then goes on to suggest that Tomlin is even making a mistake in not riding with Pickett. I mean, is this guy serious???

I mean, after watching the above video, if one didn't know any better, you'd think the Mason-led offense kinda just cobbled together a medicore win, with perhaps the most pedestrian QB in the league. I guess it is mildly impressive that he has time to take part in social media at all, what with apparently riding Kenny's jock all day, every day. I mean, does he really not know how much of a deluded manchild fanboy he sounds like right now, or is he truly so ignorant that he can't see that his cringe levels are off the charts?

And I suppose his pal Zachary Smith isn't quite as bad as Alan. To his credit, he at least doesn't sound as much like a totally smug, clueless, arrogant toolbag - only partially so.

 

Sorry for the rant - I know that no one is forcing me to watch it - but I thought it was an okay show not all that long ago, it's just gotten really weird after the emergence / resurgence of Mason.

 

I don’t know how any objective observer of Mason’s performance the last couple of weeks compared to Kenny’s and Mitch’s the last two seasons can come away saying anything but that Mason is the superior quarterback of the three and it’s not really even close.

 

Because Pickett went to Pitt that’s why. Ppl will die on that hill. Truth is his 5th season was his only good one at Pitt. Look at seasons 1-4 and look at his stats over 24 games as a pro. Very similar.

I was a big Pickett fan when he got drafted. All the talk about good arm, pro ready, great leadership and he’s been anything but that.

 

And they said he's an accurate passer, but I haven't seen much of that either

 

It's even more amazing he said we are headed for trade request with Kenny Pickett, that's the next thing, because he did not dress yesterday.

 

Because He was a original Mason basher, and some people just find it very hard to say they were wrong. There was a lot of them.

 

He friggin sucks.
