That's probably a rule when you are an adequate starter and the 3rd stringer nobody wants doesn't come in and have 1 half that looked better than any of your halves in 24 starts. Also probably a rule when the offense actually scores points with u commanding the sinking ship.

Just checked, and it looks like the video was eventually added, although it almost seems like it was reuploaded to include Kenny's questions, as it's the only video I've seen with a date in brackets...which, to me, seems to suggest that I'm the video in its current form was not posted on the same day it was actually filmed. I also happen to trust DK. Of course, when he mentioned that, it was like a day after the Kenny interview, so perhaps they just got around to posting it later than usual bc of the holidays or something, but- either way - he thought it was atypical.

Pickett didn’t loose his job to injury

He lost it because of performance or a lack thereof

I ignored the rest of your rant

Jackson hasn't won anything in the playoffs yet. I'm going to just hand him a Super Bowl ring. He has to show that he and his team is able to do it.

They are the best team. If they don't win it, guess who gets most of the blame?

We have people on this board that think Big Ben wasn't really an elite player, yet they blame him for the Steelers not winning 9 Super Bowls while he was here. Why would Jackson not get tons of heat if he flames out in the playoffs again?

The news about Kenny refusing to back up Mason is all over the internet.

I heard on 93.7 the fan with Paul Zeise about an hour ago give an account about what happened. Pickett was cleared to play on Thursday and on the team flight to Seattle was when Tomlin told KP that he was going to start Rudolph on Sunday. A discussion occurred and the result of the discussion was that KP was declared inactive for the game and Trubisky moved up to be the backup. What the discussion was is anybody's guess. Zeise said that anything other than this is just conjecture.

IF that is the case and IF Pickett is inactive again this week, shame on him. With the season on the line if Rudolph goes down we’d be much better off with Kenny than Mitch. I’ll give Kenny the benefit of the doubt here, but if it’s true, that would be an extremely selfish act.

It was impressive that Rudolph threw that pass to Pickens without stepping into the throw.

he’s mad obviously, but a second year player has to reign it in a bit and say some crap like “your always learning” and just supporting my team anyway I can”. If he was a 10 year vet with a couple pro bowl appearances - different story perhaps but a second year player who hasn’t done much yet has to keep it together a little bit

Least he's honest. In 2 years he hasn't learned how to score and finally watching the team do such things he still didn't learn anything.

Why? Nobody offered MR a contract before. Does 2 wins vs the Bengals and Seahawks warrant a big payday? IF...the Steelers do make the playoffs and Mason shows something in that environment, maybe I'll see him in a different light. For now, he's a backup that deserves a backup role.

no matter how we end up he’s getting a contract as a backup at least, maybe as a starter. He’s keeping KP on the bench already. Don’t think other teams are not noticing? Steelers should not waste time giving him a contract, not something big, maybe solid backup level like 10 million over two years, give or take
