I hate myself for posting this, but if the Steelers can manage to get in to the tournament they may have a shot to win a game. Neither the Chiefs, Dolphins or Bills look quite so daunting now and the Browns don’t scare us. Our familiarity with the Rats would be a benefit in any playoff game against them.

Dangit! There I go getting my hopes up and they’ll probably be dashed next week.

Lamar has one win against the Steelers, and they have won like 5 of the last 6 against the Ravens .

    You are correct.

But the second part of his statement holds true.

Harbaugh and co. have maintained - Tomlin not so much. Especially since the HOFer was in his twilight and retired.

Some people have bad memories. I will repeat the Ravens in 2021 were last in the AFCN. Something We have never been since the 1980s

They always seem to spring back and if they win the SB this year and they sure look not only like the team to beat who are peaking, they look to be on a mission, it will be two rings for Hairball. Better than Tomlin.

They weren’t physical and with a tough defense or just not great offensively?

Yes, the Ravens are very good this year. So what? That is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is how good the Steelers are and if they are moving in the right direction.

I want the team to be great as much as anyone else and I have been critical of Tomlin for how he has handled things the last few years, but right now...at this moment....this is not the time to be bashing Mike Tomlin. It's time to enjoy what is happening on the field and hoping for more going forward. Until the season is over, just ride the wave of watching actual offensive football occurring, and we will judge Tomlin and the situation after the season is over.

The team appears to be on a roll. Getting rid of Canada has been a Godsend. Faulkner and Sullivan have managed to create better game plans and have been better play callers by a mile and a half. They are tweaking plays and adding plays as the season rolls along. They also make in-game adjustments where they change routes to particular plays to take advantage of how the defense is playing them in that look, and add plays to give defenses have to defend things they haven't seen before.

The offensive line is becoming more consistent. They bullied the Seahawks yesterday, and BOTH running backs looked awesome and powerful.

The receivers are playing harder and more consistently. They are even bailing their QB out by making fantastic catches when they are wide open. And by the way, the receivers have been more wide open than I can remember in years.

I still like Kenny Pickett. I still believe he could be the future of the franchise, and think this whole thing started turning around after Canada was let go in the game and a half he played before he was injured. With that said, Mason Rudolph is balling. He's playing very well, and the entire offense is playing well around him. I don't care who plays quarterback as long as the offense is doing well and they are winning games.

They still have a chance to make the playoffs. I know, I know...they didn't make it yet. But wouldn't you love to see this team with an offense playing like this, and getting healthier going into the playoffs and hopefully getting both safeties back and maybe an ILB back? I mean, everyone here has to remember how good the defense was earlier in the season before they were devastated by injuries to the linebackers and the safeties. That defense with this offense playing like it has the last few games can beat anyone on a given day.

More of this please! Figure the rest out later.

1996 to 1998, the Ravens defense was nothing special. And 2006 due to several stars being injured. Outside of those years, I think they've been around a top 5 or close to it every year.

In 1999, they started building the 2000 superbowl defense. They somehow got Duane Starks, Jamie Sharper, Ray Lewis, Peter Boulware, Chris McAlister, Tony Siragusa, Adalius Thomas, Rod Woodson, and Rob Burnett all on the same team for 1 year. All could be top 3 defenders on most defenses, but were all together on the Ravens.

I would gladly trade being last instead of mediocre 2 seasons ago to be the favorite to win the SB this year, wouldn’t you? Who in their right mind wouldn’t?

steelers are second last this season… sooooooo much better than last……

The floor have been very high for the steelers in the Tomlin era....Not the case for the ceiling in the last 10 years, which is much more important.....Btw, in 2021, the Ravens had so many injuries in their roster but they were still competitive and were in the race for the first seed before Lamar was injured

I think the Rats will want to crush us next week. If our D wasn't decimated I would like our chances but not so much regardless of LJ’s steeler struggles.

I am just happy to see the offense over 400 yards and back to scoring in the 30s. :)

REAL fans? In your world you can't be a "real" fan unless you wank about Tomlin a dozen times a day or more? No thanks.

I don't know why it's so hard for you Schleprocks to understand. It's not a matter of being happy with..........lack of playoff success, it's the realization that wanking about it, the team, the coach and the owners at every opportunity doesn't do any good!
