I'd say the Steelers winning out is probably a 20% chance.

Bills losing to the Dolphins is probably a 40% chance.

Jags losing to Titans is probably 5% chance.

    Tie is probably 0.01% chance.

I agree with those who said that the steelers were one of the worst 11-0 team ever in 2020,but the eagles are in the conversation to be the worst 10-1 team ever!

So, you're saying the Eagles couldn't stop the Arizona offense just like the Steelers.

I was using ESPN playoff machine. We get in even if Colts win and Bills and Jags lose.

    Jags losing is key now.

Not that it's likely but another possibility is

Steelers lose today and win next week, Denver wins final 2, Titans beat Jags next week and Cincy loses one of last 2 and Steelers would get in.

I think we want Cincy to win out as well, since we’re 2-0 vs them. I think we’re in if there’s a 4 way tie with Steelers, Cin, Jax and Colts.

Jax wins division. H2H records of remaining:
    Pitt 2-1
    Cin 1-1
    Colts 1-1

just a quick look on my part, might be wrong

The colts would have the edge in this case...

Colts are 1-3 in the H2H. That drops them from the Div as they lost to Jax twice. They also lost to Cin, thus 1-1 compared to our 2-1 if a 3 way tie

    We have to win
Jags have to lose and we are in

Yep. Assuming Bills lose too and they should. Jags game is just about everything.

Steelers win in Baltimore and either Jags or Bills lose next week they are in. It’s as simple as that.

Steelers win and either Buffalo loses, Jags lose or Colts/Texans tie - Steelers in

Steelers lose and Jags lose and Denver wins - Steelers in (assuming Denver and KC both hang on today).

If the Steelers don't get in, a big thank you to Trubisky should be on the way from whoever ends up as the 7 seed.

a couple of things without catching up on the latest from this thread-so these may have been said before:

    - some screwy things can happen if there is a tie in the Titans Colts game

    - wonder if the Ravens might be motivated to get the Bills out of the postseason by losing to the Steelers

Ravens can't keep Bills out if the Bills win.

Bills don’t matter do they? If the jags lose they lose the south and the winner of the Texans and Colts game gets it. Then if we win, we would be a wild card with the Bills and Browns.

A Colts/Texans tie also is a path (highly unlikely)

Also could get in with a loss and a Jags loss and Broncos win.

The shame is playing Trubisky. That was a massive mistake.

Bills matter if the Jags win.

If Jags win, Bills lose, Steelers win, they'd be in too along with either Colts or Texans winner.

Right, but if they lose they can still make it via a Steelers loss. Just a thought, that's all.

By the way, I just ran the playoff machine and there is an odd way the Steelers can make the playoffs even if they lose next week. It involves the Jags losing and the Broncos winning. Not sure how, but that is what is saying.

Bills DO matter. If they beat Miami they win division and we get bumped.

Correct. If there is a 3 way tie with the Broncos, Steelers and Jags (or 4 way with Cincy), Steelers would get in. Broncos were just eliminated with Steelers win and KC win though so they may not play hard.

Only if the Jags win too.

That's why the Cowboys losing the Miami last week was huge. Had the Dolphins lost, the Steelers would have been in next week with a win no matter what else happened.

Or they could have just beat NE or Cleveland with DTR or Arizona.

    Thanks Trubisky.

    ITS PRETTY SIMPLE NOW..

THE STEELERS NEED TO WIN AND 1 OTHER RESULT IN WEEK 18

#1.. BILLS LOSE VS THE DOLPHINS
    OR
#2.. JAGS LOSE TO THE TITANS
    OR
    #3.. COLTS/TEXANS GAME ENDS IN A TIE

IF STEELERS LOSE IN WEEK 18, THEY NEED..

1 JAGS LOSS AND 1 RAIDERS LOSS AND THE COLTS/TEXANS GAME NOT TO END IN A TIE

Nope. Have it on the playoff machine now. Jags losing don`t help if Bills win. Bills win they are second seed and Miami bumped to 6th and we are out.
