I’m in Florida for New Years Eve visiting my mom and stepdad. I’ve promised to make my baked stuffed shrimp, and we’ll combine that with beef tenderloin that my mom bought to have a surf & turf. Also baked potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts w. Bacon.

Sorry for you daughter in law’s loss Mac.

It's actually a carryover from last week.
The wife made me go Christmas Shopping, since the Steelers have played so bad.
I did find a sports bar... lol.
So, it was wings, veggies and Corona's...

But, it is tough to convey how much I hate a Mall... and the great lengths I've gone to evade that trip for many years. :)

The woman who I lived and admired for her Insight and wisdom booked dinner reservations with friends for right at kickoff

I mentioned this and got a deer in the headlights look…….so totally forgot

We may make it through this bump in our relationship but if it had been a home game she would have needed one less chair for the reservation

Possibly two less chairs because her friends husband would probably rather have gone with me :smiley1:

We are going to see if we can totally ignore the game and score and watch it when we get home

Might be impossible if we start out sitting at the bar before or after eating dinner which based on previous experience………

I had already planned on Clam Chowder in scooped out sourdough bowls without even thinking of all the amazing Chowder in the Pacific Northwest. My Sister lives in Tacoma area and that's pretty much all we eat when I visit (Duke's in Tacoma on the water is awesome!). Mine won't be anywhere as good as they serve but it will be symbolic.

I looked at the menu and pictures

Now I want to fly out to Duke’s to eat

And based on my previous history it’s an
Open option I’ve flown farther to eat

First time try: Stove Top Cornbread and overpriced crabmeat. Crabcakes. And a cup of Dunkin coffee as an F U to Starbucks.

Never realized crabmeat was so expensive. Have not bought for awhile. What pisses me off is the fishing boats unload 10 miles from my house. We should get it cheaper IMO. When sis-in-law was married to a fisherman we made out like a bandit. Her divorce cost us as much as it cost her in lost free seafood. ;)
