The steelers will finish at 9-8 and at least the streak of the non losing season for Tomlin will continue!

    The standard is the standard!

I’m feeling like there’s a great chance they are eliminated from the playoffs this week.

The Steelers are eliminated this weekend if:

    - They lose to Sea
    - Bills beat NE
    - Colts beat Vegas.
    - Chargers beat Den, taking Den out of any 9-8 tiebreaker
    - Either Hou or Jax win

Each of these, except LA vs Den, is favored to happen. But even with a loss, a lot has to happen to eliminate them with a week to go. A loss by itself isn’t necessarily fatal, but it’s close to it.

Yay. Remember when we were 7-4 and had the Cards and Pats coming to town the next two weeks?

If the Steelers win this week versus Seattle, They cannot be eliminated in week 17.

Even if all the teams that need to lose in the different Scenarios going into week 17, actually win, the Steelers can still make the playoffs with a win in week 18 vs the Ravens AND a Bills loss to Miami OR a Jags loss to Tenn.

If the Steelers win out, they will have the tiebreaker over the Bills, if the Bills lose in week 17 or 18.

Assuming both the texans and the colts win in week 17, the colts/texans winner in week 18 will be the 4th seed with a jags loss. In this Is Scenario, both the jags and the colts/texans loser will finish behind the Steelers and will be eliminated.

Given the Steelers history over the past 10 years in December... I don't see them making the playoffs. Steelers will bungle one of these final 2 games. If they beat Seahawks... Ravens will win in week 18. The way the Ravens are playing.... their backups will own our starters, if they've already clinched the #1 seed. Like we used to do to the Browns in final regular season games with our backups.

My playoff machine has all 4 AFCN teams in it.

Imagine if that happens and the 3 WC win?!?
Leaving all 4 to play again.

If you are a bills fan and that scenario unfolds are you then able to function in society?

I did a presentation last year to a group of about 200 engineers and construction managers all under 35 or so and showed a picture of a slide rule to see how many of them had any idea what it was. No one did. Institutional knowledge gone by the wayside. It got us to the moon for crying out loud and now it’s lost to history.

I think this is how those ancient aliens theories come about. 1000 years from now when everyone has forgotten the slide rule entirely, people will say “man could never have made it to the moon back then, the computer technology didn’t exist. They must have had help from aliens”

Imagine that happening. We could have a case in point that starting QB's are overrated:)

Or it May point out that the crap that has been fed to everyone about the so-called dual threat Qb is a myth.....Watson with the Browns this year in 6 games 8 tds, Flacco in 5 games 13 tds.

Some good news for the Steelers.

Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence has been ruled out(shoulder injury) for week 17 vs Carolina

That may help some, but the Panthers are arguably the worst team in the league. The Jags should still be favored to win that one even without Lawrence. I'd certainly love to be wrong. It would be great if the Steelers won and knew going into Week 18 that they no longer needed outside help to get in.

Before this news, Jacksonville was a 7.5 favorite. Now they are favored by 4

Congratulations. We were married in 1983, too, on December 31, so game day is anniversary day. Game is meaningless in comparison, but I still hope for a win.
