I want to be you when I grow up! I'd love to raise Labs in my retirement. Couldn't afford to do it in CA!

I limit hunting just so it’s good hunting for those who have been coming for years but I could probably find you a slot for muzzleloader season

Dogs if they get along with other dogs are more welcome than people I’ve had as many as 12 dogs here at one time

    Merry Christmas

IMHO, discussing taxes and the role of government is discussing politics.

I have a cottage on the property and I’ve been pondering going down to the border on the south and finding a Mr and Mrs Jose

Seems to me that a home purchased for 1.7 million $ given his career is a bit under his level of income. Now, the article doesn’t say if it’s his only home, but what if it is? I’d say he lives very comfortably, but below his means. The article seemed oddly written, almost of jealousy. Not like a boastful article as some are written about the rich and famous. I certainly don’t begrudge the way he spends his money. I’ll go out on a ledge and predict he’s not in the financial predicament that some in the league, like AB are/were.

I honestly would just want a ranch style home and around 100 acres if i was rich.
Place to hunt, put in a pond and farm the land. Plus no close neighbors. That to me would be heaven.

I get it. I would want the big bathrooms for the comforts of a jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower. I would want a big kitchen for lots of cupboard space, counter space and room to host large dinners.. I would love a home theater and home gym as well. So I get the big home thing. That's assuming I have the money to have someone clean it, because I wouldn't want to clean a massive house.

What I don't get is the staging of these mansions. They never look lived in. They feel uncomfortable. They look great, but don't look like a real home.

this is not far from the truth, we’re talking $900 per sf in many places in the concrete ghetto jungle called LA

It never stops amazing me how we all say that about the players and coaches, while the owners rake in billions and fleece the tax payer for stadium deals.

As if the majority of players and coaches somehow didn't come from just as humble backgrounds as the rest of us, but their skill at "playing a Game" or "coaching others" gives other people the desire to watch them play a game for money.

They are literally doing what the "American Dream" is, but we criticize them for making what they do doing it.

Meh, just my rant, must be getting old.
