Najee is a problem

Wonder if we had a offensive line that could block. Holes would open a touch wider for our backs, our QB's had a second or two longer to hit a receiver who had a second more to run a route. If we did maybe our defense wouldn't be so banged up. There might be 2 - 3 QB's in the NFL who would still look good behind this line, but I'd bet they wouldn't want to try.

 

Why shouldn't Harris follow the arrow in this picture?

Everyone near him is blocked following the arrow.

 

I think Harris learned his game playing Madden... where you push a juke button and the animation takes over and the player does a dance step. When Harris gets near someone, he pushes a juke button in his head, and does a dance step, and where he ends up is up in the air.

 

Pickens blocking button must be broke when he plays Madden.

 

People......Name Me one time I said Warren wasn't any good. Just once.....You can't... I've been trying to say all the time that they are both good. I have never once said Warren wasn't good. I'm just constantly having to defend Najee, and some Der ders take it that must mean I think Warren isn't good. It's really simple. Most of Warrens(not all) come from 3rd, and long, or when the D expect a bigger percentage of a pass. I don't know why I most explain this. When You run the ball, and down , and distance has a big big big influence on what the D expects. It's not rocket science. $hit this is harder than trying to teach guitar students music theory. Go look at .....hell just the last 3 games....., and tell me when all His biggest runs are, and what down, and distance it was when He gets stuffed behind the line. It's like the Ben stuff all over again..... Hes holding Canada's offense back guys.....they just knew they were right....guys posting little clips from Instagram, or whatever.....saying He's done.....any Qb would be better......where are those loudmouth now???? You know where.....I know where....a big % of them are now....the same people that are forsure Warren is better than Najee.....instead of just realizing they are both good...., but You know what....if they are wrong again.....they won't say it.....notice none of them are holding their hands up saying.....Yeah that was Me. LoL, and they won't again if they are wrong about this. Some say I worry too much about being right , or wrong.....I say too many don't care....so they just spout one thing after another without a clue.....because what's it matter if they are wrong... they'll just slink away, and start some other crap. Without a care of being wrong.

 

One He is going by numbers....two He thinks 45 is getting free, and He didn't know 94 was going to get let by. If everyone uses honesty.....either lane is good if 94 isn't let go. This is what I'm getting at......I Love both Warren, and Najee, but most don't and so they put up these clips.... Warren got stopped short many times last week.....be fair.....where are his clips??? I'll tell You exactly how many times. Go look at the game thread, and everytime.....I said silence.....because that what happens when it's Warren getting tackle for nothing.....yet all the real haters point it out everytime Najee does.....so when it happens to Warren.....I always say.....silence.

We give our QB's an NFL average amount of time to throw, idk. We aren't considered a top unit by any stretch of the imagination, but we are far from the worst. Plenty of QB's could look good behind our current line. Next year's iteration should be even better.

 

I want to see a Warren play that shows every defensive lineman being blocked for comparison.

 

His vision (or lack thereof) has been the most consistent issue for him so far in his career. I also wish he tried lowering his shoulder a bit more instead of juking, but its not like he's 6'1'' and 245 lbs or anything...

I hope we don't pick up his 5th year option. Not that he isn't an ok back, because he is ok... but because we could find someone that brings what Najee brings at a lot less than 7 million fully guaranteed. I'd be okay with a contract extension, but I doubt he would want to sign for what he's worth before he tried to get more in FA. Something in the 3yr/12 million range would be ok under the idea that we are splitting his carries pretty evenly with Warren. Personally I would try to make Warren the lead back and give him 60-70% of the RB touches and see what he can do. I think he brings a life to the offense that really doesn't exist with Najee on the field. We tend to get very sluggish with 22 out there.

 

You did, against the Browns. He took it 74 yards to the house because he got to the second level and made someone in the secondary miss.

 

Gotcha. That makes a little more sense but I still think that was on Najee. Seumalo looks kinda dejected immediately after that play because he thought he had his man blocked and Najee runs right into him.

 

You are literally f**king stoned. That's on Najee. Man, do better.

 

That run was some Trent Richardson level garbage. Najee's a bit better than Richardson, but like TR his vision is what holds him back.

 

That's what I was saying about Warren early on. Never know about this coaching staff. JMO>

 

Again our system sucks .the only reason to use bigger pick up the blitz guys is to throw down field for chunk plays.more speed is better if that is not working. Harris is not that good as a runner yet we continue the same madness

 

Warren got playing time last year and early this season, just not as much as many wanted him to get.

 

Weren't you the one telling us they had some scat package plan for him? That was how he was going to be a big contributor this season. How is that prediction working out for you?

 

I think he learned under the best coach possible at Alabama. Where they happen to know how to build an OL and to use the run game.

 

So why does Warren get through there??
