    He’s not good, but I don’t think he’s a cancer.

The Steelers are going to be a laughing stock in the NFL if they keep Faulker as OC next season...Already it was all-time bad with keeping Canada for one more season, if they keep Faulker, the Steelers are going to be a worse organization than the pirates in baseball at this point

This. How do you have an Offensive Coordinator that has never called plays? Joke.

Tomlin is told he is not getting an extension. Stays as a lame duck.

Art, Khan and Weidl bring in an innovative offensive coordinator with autonomy who brings in his own staff. None are retained.

    Austin is also replaced.

Trubisky is released. Rudolph is done here. They bring in a vet and draft one late.

Harris is not offered the 5th year option. Warren becomes the starter. They draft one late rounds.

Heyward is asked to take a pay cut.

They draft defensive line, center, corner, tackle, QB, running back, punter.

    Johnson and Pickens will stay.

Adams is released. Ogunjobi stays another year. Leal is released.

Chuks is traded or released. Jones moves to the left side and they bring is a right tackle via free agency.

    The joke Harvin is released.

I feel like Tomlin retires at the end of the year. I don't know why but to me, it feels kind of like Cowhers last year.

As noted, this is hard to predict without knowing MT's fate. That said, I predict the following:
    1) Tomlin has one more year left and Rooney does not want to eat the money...he stays and says this will get better because "The Standard is the Standard"!
    2) We trade Pickens for a third rounder.
    3) Johnson stays.
    4) We draft a WR in the first round, an ILB in the second and a center in the third.
    5) Rooney/Kahn hire a new OC and a new DC.
    6) Kahn picks up at least 3-4 FA's...ILB, Safety, CB.
    7) I am sure there will be more, but I am drawing a blank and running out of time to write.

I’d like to see Pickens gone, but I don’t know that there would be a market for him. Sure he’s talented, but he’s also a proven headcase. Not many teams want those, unless they have Antonio Brown-level talent, which Pickens does not.

In reality, there is only one move that JEH and I and a few others are interested in on a regular basis...............:bscow:

Remember, Cowher's wife died in 2010. He never spoke about it publicly, but the rumor was that she was already sick when he stepped away. He took the television work because it allowed him more free time than coaching. I don't think he would have stayed retired if not for her passing.

    Coaches moves:

    1. Extended Tomlin
    2. Hire new OC
    3. Hire new OL coach
    4. Hire new WR coach

    Player moves:

    - Cut or let walk the following: Peterson, Golden, Trubisky, Wallace, Rudolph, Harvin
    - Trades the following: Johnson, Pickens, Harris
    - Explore a trade involving TJ Watt
    - Have a conversation with Cam Hayward about retirement

    Draft:

Best players available in every round including QB, too many needs to pigeonhole into positions

    Free Agency:

Again, sign what you can, too many needs.

Can't predict the coaches. Pretty confident there will be new OC. No way they keep this mommy and poppy play calling duo. Has to be the biggest joke for other teams.

Need all investment into both lines. Start there. If you can run you have a chance to win every game. I remember back to the days when I could only name one receiver, Thigpen. Different era of sorts, but point is, don't need four stellar potential hot rods out there at the cost of the middle.

Get rid of the Austin and Mcfar crap. Don't even think about going back to it. No five-foot-six, one-hundred and fifty pound dude is going to be the difference.

Trades involving established veteran players are relatively rare in the NFL. Maybe they move one of those guys. Maybe. Your approach is basically tanking.

Trading Johnson, Pickens and Harris is not tanking.

Johnson may be a cap casualty anyways.
Pickens may still get you a 2nd.
Harris isn't getting his 5th year here, someone may see something in him.

Exploring options with TJ is also not tanking. I'm not saying trade him for the sake of trading him.....but he's about to turn 30 and if they are going to build a winner here then they will need more draft capital.

I love Cam, but he's about to turn 35 at a high impact position.

That was funny!! Tomlin on FOX would rile up a lot of Steeler fans. I do enjoy Terry.

My prediction is Tomlin will still be the coach. Kenny Pickett will be the starting QB. The new OC will be hired from within. The Steelers will still miss the playoffs.

Tomlin will draft a WR that he knows personally.

    Not let go...explore trade options.

He's about to be 30 and this team has so many needs that they will not be resolved before he's 33. However, if the offer was right, the return could accelerate that rebuild.
