I wonder if someone like Gabe Davis of the Bills might be availalbe. Earlier this year, he was awarded a game ball after a win. He made zero receptions that day. Just one of those guys that plays hard every play whether the ball is coming his way or not. Of course, also a great message sent by Coach McDermott to every one on the team.

DJohnson and GPickens recent effortless plays are clear indication of their attitude and lack of discipline. I don't think they will change. I think we can get at least two 3rd round picks for each of them. I would start from scratch with our receivers through the draft.

I think Gabe Davis is an FA this yr, but not totally sure. But he’s another heartbreaker, for 3 yrs I’ve expected him to become a top WR and I’m still waiting, he’s erratic

I'm not saying he's anything but a 2 or 3. What I am saying though he's a guy that can help change the culture. If you get zero receptions yet the HC thinks you deserve a game ball, you must be playing the game the right way and leading in some positive manner.

I'd rather just start over with the coaches first. They stink.

I like Gabe Davis, but he’s been a bit of a disappointment, he seems like a good guy. I’m not sure he’s a difference maker. Help the culture? I guess, but would DJ or Pickens listen to him? They’d look at his numbers and sniff at the scrub.

The Steelers sent me a survey to fill out and I would be entered into a raffle to win an autographed George Pickens jersey

Yeah I can put it next to the autographed Plaxico Buress football I was given

You get rid of one or both of those guys.

Look, people are complaining that the culture sucks and there's no leaders. Not just us, but current Steelers. I just put it out there as someone who is affordable and can help change that.

if you don't want that, be my guest.

It’s hard to believe Claypool showed more effort blocking than Pickens does…

No, an offensive line in constant flux isn't ideal. You always want to grab for the default excuse for Tomlin and his staff and that is to blame the players. Well, Tomlin is partly responsible for evaluating what he has and making changes to his line-up. You might want to ask your guilt free coach why this line was neglected for years while it degraded organically. 13 years between first round picks along the offensive line. They took a stiff that was mostly a guard in college with a third-round pick instead of taking Humphrey in the second round when they took Freiermuth. Your boy has to own some of this. So now, they got what they got. An inconsistent line at pass pro and run blocking.

The issue I see with Pickens is mostly his attitude. I know he wants the ball, all players do. The issue is multi faceted and one that GP is not quite able to understand. Here is why I believe his attitude has degraded considerably this year. He most certainly may have always been the most gifted WR on any team he has ever played on and never had to be challenged in that regard. In the NFL, particlarly this Steeler team, he isnt the #1 ( although I could argue he should be, but thats later ). So when the offensive line doesnt give a QB any time to read through the progressions and is always trying to hit the first option, that leaves GP frustrated. I get it, but this isnt college ball or HS ball anymore. He has made it to the show, now he has to figure out how to act like he belongs here. He will get his shot, I hope its with this Steeler team with new coaches and new philosophies. I think he is a great talent, but a million dollar talent and a .02 cent brain dont last long in this league. I hope for his sake, he figures out how to be a pro.

I really think Pickens talent is exagerated. He's not a pro-bowl type player. He has an incredible catch radius and amazing ball skills. He's not particularly strong, can get muscled off his route, jammed at the line, doesn't run great routes and isn't great at boxing out defenders to give himself more leverage on jump balls.

He's incredibly gifted naturally, but the football skills are still being developed. Tons of potential, but he's nowhere near the talent to tolerate the BS he's doing. Not that I would accept it from anyone, but I know that coaches do tolerate BS from star players. Pickens is not a star player. He's got a lot of developing to do still

I agree, he has the potential, but I seriously doubt we will ever see it come to fruition. He's giving up on plays in his second year. I'm trying to think of a WR that had effort and attitude problems and then cleaned it up. I can't think of one.

what's Colin Kaepernick doing if Mason sucks --why don't we try him --we have a team full of attitude anyway--- he would fit right in

Wouldn't you think at least one player would have confronted Pickens? If I was on the team there is no way I could keep my mouth shut. If it meant a squabble then so be it. ..but heck no way would I put up with that (lack of) effort.

It's not about being an adult or a business. You work alongside me and produce that product you are going to get a verbal beat down.

I don't know if any harbugh has a place in Pittsburg, but what could it hurt for a couple years. People with nothing, have nothing to lose.

Oh in my hockey days, if I had a teammate like Pickens, we'd probably be scrapping at some point. I have no tolerance for that garbage. Unfortunately society is tolerating it more and more. We're becoming a softer society and that seems to include tolerating and accepting negative behaviours more often than we used to.

There's clearly no leadership on the offensive side of the ball, which is a really big problem, but Tomlin also doesn't believe in accountability. He never has. He's a joke
