    1) do they stay the course with the head coach or release Tomlin? How do they fill other coach positions?

    2) how does the QB room change if at all?

    3) what changes to the offense do you predict will happen?

    4) what changes are seen on the defensive side of the ball? Who stays and who goes?

    Anything else to add.

This is a fun thread to predict what you think WILL happen not what you think SHOULD happen.

A fun little to thread to dog up later for bragging rights ot lack thereof. :towel:

I think Pickens and/or DJ requests a trade.

    Harris likely gets traded.

    Heyward retires.

Chux, Wallace and P² end up being cap casualties, probably others that I can't think of on top of my head.

Tomlin accepts a studio gig at Fox replacing Terry Bradshaw

If they keep Tomlin, which we all know they will these are definitely moves that have to be made.

    New OC
    New DC
(Tomlin keeps his nose out of these)

Cut Mitch and get a more seasoned vet

Cam either retired or gets cut

Highsmith (depending on how he finishes, possible trade)

    DJ Trade

Najee gone: Find another RB in the draft

Cole gone: Draft a Center at 1 if there.

Draft another CB to play beside JPJ

    Draft a Safety

Draft a RT and move Jones to LT

    That’s a few places I’d start.

I’d keep Pickens. Way more upside and cheaper than DJ.

No center worth drafting in the first round

Try to make it what the Steelers WILL do not necessarily what the SHOULD do.

Makes it fun to look back to see how wrong most all were.. a couple tend yo get it about right.

Just a thread for fun as there is little other entertainment at the time being lol

    Tomlin will remain head coach.

Trubisky will remain the backup, however the Steelers will draft a mid round QB to "compete".

    Rudolph will be gone.

Eddie Faulkner will remain OC. The Steelers will move on from Mike Sullivan. The Steelers will hire a new "play caller". It will not be anyone of particular note.

For the most part the roster will remain the same. Additions of some moderate priced free agents, and the Steelers draft a reciever early who has a history of character issues. But he's misunderstood so it's okay.

Don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that both end up being traded. Situation seems that toxic and will only get worse as the losses build up.

    1. We need a whole new coahing staff. If we go cheap and keep Tomlin you need new OC and DC but unsure quality you get with lame duck coach.

    2. Need to upgrade entire O line with the exception of Jones.

    3. Need another DB or 2

    4. TE, I think we need better than Muth, he sucks at blocking and gets blown up way too much.

    5. New WR"s

    6. Trade Najee and pick up a new RB, they are always plentiful

    7. Need to replace Cam

    8. pray our ILB's get healthy but wouldn't mind adding here as well

    9. New punter

So after that whole list its basically a tear down. As Noll said you guys just aren't very good!!

Sad thing is I wasn't even joking. What we want the Steelers to do, and what they do are two different things.

    So

    1) they keep Tomlin. I think they hire a new OC however. I predict we some other changes with the position coaches.

    2) I predict both Mitch and Rudolph are gone after this year. They bring in another vet at QB. They could draft one but I predict they don't but put their eggs in Kenny's basket. I think they lost confidence in Mitch and cut losses.

    3) I do think they sign free agent talent and/or draft OL particularly at the center position. I don't think it will be much of a name over Cole however.

    4) Robinson's gone at WR.

    5) Ogunjobi gone. Probably plays great elsewhere << kidding

    6) they re-sign Kwon Alexander. (Hope they do anyways. They probably draft someone with a day 2 pick.

    7) Peterson retires. Or joins a club that actually has a shot.lol

I suspect he calls it a day with Cam Heyward. Heyward just doesn't look like the type of player he was just last year.

I expect them to draft some secondary players. Probably bring someone off the free agent roster.

There is my prediction of what they WILL do not what they necessarily SHOULD.

If all goes well, no one will know. Reason, Tomlin regime will be gone, and I don't know who will come in or what they'll do. But whatever it is, I look forward to the change. Hope it works out but doing nothing is worse. JMO>

See what you can get in return for Najee. I’ve seen enough of this.

They will keep Tomlin at least one more year because of his contract and the perception around the Rooney rule. Plus they can point at injuries and Canada as reasons for failure.

They will trade Pickens. Juju 2.0. he will go on to a new team where he will sputter out as they won't put up with his antics.

DJ will push for a trade. He might get it too. He is good, but is a bit on the expensive side. I can see him getting picked up by someone with a decent young QB that is looking to give their QB some quality targets.

They will keep Trubiski due to his restructured contact and because nobody will pick him up. They will draft a new QB who will end up replacing Rudolph. Mitch will remain qb2.

Our new OC/play caller duo will get a chance to go at it for a full season. This is the cheap route and sticks to the promote from within history of the Steelers.

They will draft for the defense and pick up some has beens and nobody wants free agents for the offensive line.

They will keep Warren and Najee. Too many holes to plug elsewhere. There is potential there still. Both are also under contract on the cheap. I also think that despite the Najee naysayers, he has more potential. Fix the o-line, drop 20-30 pounds improve play calling and his stats will improve.

Based on past actions of the Steelers. The wild card is Khan. How involved will he become in the team roster?

I doubt they are getting enough for it to be worthwhile. Better to ride out Harris's rookie deal, but make Warren the starter.

If they keep Faulker as OC, I'm going to have a very difficult time giving a damn next season. I'll watch. I always watch, but my wife will be happy because I won't care enough to yell at the television during the game.

This is very difficult to predict without knowing Tomlin's fate. If he goes, I could see them blowing things up. Even if he stays, it might be difficult to keep Pickens given how he has tanked so many plays later in the season. Tomlin clearly isn't getting through to him.

They need to hire a new offensive coordinator from the outside, someone who is going to significantly change what they do. Most importantly, they should be focusing on Pickett. Stop trying to make him a game manager. Fix the pass protection and let him cut it loose. Maybe he can rediscover his swagger and become something.

Much of what the defense does will be based on the recoveries of Holcomb and Alexander. Of course, they would have to re-sign Alexander if they want him back, but I would do it if it looks like he will be fully recovered next season. They still need to draft another eventual starter, but I wouldn't mind going with Holcomb, Roberts, and Alexander again if they are healthy.

They have to assume Heyward will be gone. Maybe it was just the groin and he still has something left, but it is tough to count on that at his age.

Hopefully, they can upgrade at corner across from Porter. The priority has to be center. Cole sucks and he needs to go.

With the NFL suspending Kazee for the rest of the season I am ready to quit watching whether Faulkner is the OC or not. Another year of Tomlin, and another year of the NFL completely over-litigating the game. Maybe it's time for me to spend more time making the house nice on Sundays.
