This team is soft and egoistic like its coach. His terminology like ‘splash plays’ invites individualistic highlights rather than team concept. Ben covered a lot of Tomlin’s deficiencies. Ben would have had couple more championships if he had Cowher or even that guy in Miami.

Heyward is regressing, Highsmith isn’t living up to his contract, Friermuth doesn’t block, Cole sucks, Moore sucks, Wallace and Peterson need to go, Pickens and Dionte are soft, Najee should have never been a first rd pick another reach fir need instead of bpa, no safeties outside of Minkah, no mlb depth, terrible coaching on all sides of the ball. We can’t contain the edge in defense ever. How are they coaches so poorly.

Tomlin doesn’t have the answers. He is making desperate moves extending bad contracts to very average players like Ogunjobi or DJ and reaching for need like Najee instead of drafting bpa. It just has all resulted into what you are now seeing on the field. We held onto Ben and mad desperate moves to make tge team competitive in the short term with Ben near the end of his career as if we were going anywhere instead of building for the future. That’s why we gave Najee and Mason Coke instead of Creed Humphrey.

I’m done with Tomlin. I hope Rooney has the fortitude to enforce actual change. Heyward will probably retire if Tomlin is gone and honestly I would entertain trading Watt and Minkah and starting over. Let those guys go elsewhere and gave a legit shot at playoffs etc.

I for one am very disappointed in this team. I thought the FO brought
in better talent to our roster. And thought they would compete for playoff spot.

The steelers are -57 in points differenciel after 14 games....So far this is their worst since 1989 when they were -62 in 16 games but their first 2 games were the big reason why their points differencial was awful

Now they have 3 games left and they have a chance to have their worst points differenciel since 1970....Their worst since 1970 is -85 in 1988

You could give Gordon Ramsey a bunch of TV dinners, canned goods, and instant mashed potatoes, and give me all the best ingredients in the world. He's still going to make a better dish than I would more often than not.

Ingredients only matter when someone can actually use them right. And the best can make great things with mediocre ingredients.

Yea, as I said in this off-season, I was excited by Khans change in philosophy in FA, and if it fails I couldn't fault him for trying. And I honestly still feel that way, even tho it has failed. Khan mostly built this team to be a power running team in the off-season and the scheme and execution was everything but that. It falls on the hands of Tomlin and this offensive coaching staff.

I'm just eager to see something new next season and beyond.

The problem with this team is not players and talent, it is coaching and ownership. I have a hell of a problem fairly asessing a hell of a lot of our best players under this regime, people like Mason Cole however clearly are not good enough, as are the rest of the o-line apart for Jones.

This group of coaches would not get hired anywhere else, the Steelers don't look for the best coaches they look for easy in-house hires that keep Tomlin insulated and protected, guys who no-one else wants with no resume a'la Matt Canada.

The game has moved on the Steelers are stuck in the past trying to win 13-10 every week.

They're wrapped in a comfort blanket of cliches and familiarity, they're an echo chamber of mediocrity. NE have gone the same way. The Raiders under Al Davis ran exactly the same model for decades albeit with much less success than us and NE.

This happens all over sports, teams get stale and locked in the past trying to recreate the glory years. Someone mentioned Tom Landry it's the same thing here, it was the same with Don Shula.

Ben kept this team afloat for years. That's blatantly obvious, just like Brady.

If the Steelers don't radically change then nothing will change at all. Injuries have ravaged the defense 2 key peices have been hurt all year and father time has probably caught up with Cam, I don't think Highsmith is bad overnight either, Peterson was a massive mistale, Seamalu ditto. Hardly anything Khan did in the off-season has worked, the draft we had is too early to call.

This season has been in the mail for years, and it's been smoke and mirrors for a long time. The last 3 games have been a total humiliation and the last two will be the same way, and I hope they are in a way because anything that might make Rooney wake the **** up can only be a positive.

This team needs to totally clean house with coaching from Tomlin down and start over. I've never been a Tomlin hater either, but this season? enough is enough as a fan you think that if we can gauratee being good ebough to be at least one game above .500 then it shouldn't take much be a genuine year in year out contender but that's the gulf MT clearly can't bridge. We could easily come back next year with MT, and go 6-2 but it would all fall apart again, and we all know it.

I don't recognize the song but with shows like that, there's a good chance it's just some studio musicians who wrote an intro for the show but it's not an actual full song. Just a thought

And in a league biased hard toward offensive output, too.

    This year is rough.

I am not convinced it's just a talent issue. Someone just needs to do something meaningful and impactful. JMO>

Tomlin should be gone, but Rooney will keep him for one more year. Rooney's have a very checkered past (according to articles I have read on the web) having made their money by opening illegal betting parlors and illegal gambling during the depression and were on FBI's watch list . Now they want to clear or whitewash their history by being some sort of civil right champions. They won't fire Tomlin because it would mar that effort.

20 Years is probably being a bit too charitable, imo. I'm thinking more like 40 - possibly even 60 years.

The worst team in 20 years. Think about that fellow Steelers fans. We had to wait 20 years. The worst team since the 2003 6-10 Steelers. Troy was labeled a bust in 2003.

You can have all of the right ingredients to cook a wonderful meal, but if your cook is the short order guy from the local greasy spoon, you’ll still have indigestion afterwards.

It's not a talent issue at all, it is years and years and years of sub par coaching stacking up.

Bad thing is… i thought we had a very good draft this year…. Too early to tell but if we can put together another one in the next draft, we should be heading in right direction!
Hate to be constantly dragging KFP, but he is not it

He's had a losing season. The media is too much of p*ssies to say it.

His losing season - the postSEASON - 8-9 there.
