Even when the Steelers were 4-2 or 6-3 or something like that, the Steelers were just awful and also so lucky, so we shouldn't be surprised by this collapse

The win is always the most important thing, but at the same time the way you play big time matters too, otherwise it is obvious that a collapse has a high chance of happening

I don't think they will win another game this season but it's possibly the best thing that could happen to the Steelers since perhaps the Steelers will wake up from this mess they created

This is a 3 win team that got lucky with an unprecedented run of comeback wins.

And because of those early wins, the Steelers won’t even be rewarded for being the worst team in the league (which we are right now). They deserve the number one pick but will pick 15th or something.

Which makes them actually a 7 win team

I said this after last week's loss. This isn't a good team that underachieved the last two weeks, it's a bad team that overachieved the previous 11.

The point differential sort of made that clear. Their luck was bound to change. You just can't consistently win in the manner they were.

Right. You can't rely on defensive splash plays to bail out an anemic offense week after week. True, in a couple of those wins, Pickett made some fourth quarter plays to pull the game out, but most of the time he was pretty bad. Just like we've seen in recent seasons, the defense wore out and now it is beat down with injuries. Right now, Tomlin doesn't have any answers because this is just not a good football team. He has what he has and it just isn't good enough.

I hope Tomlin will have a losing season for the first time in his career, I am sick of hearing about his winning seasons

You can guarantee that Tomlin will have a losing season. There is no way they are winning another game let alone 2 out of their last 3.

It could be the worst thing who can happen for the steelers if they finish at 9-8....Maybe the owner will think that the steelers are fine under Tomlin because they won 2 of their last 3 games!

A good team would have been, even a half decent one in fact.

The offense is healthy right now but still terrible...Just hard to win consistently with the worst steelers offense since 1970 regardless of the quality or not of the defense

Not sure why people do this to themselves. This is what we do, this is who we are, to quote Tomlin. We either start very strong and then finish the season on a losing streak, or we start very slow and finish strong. We're never consistent, never. So the fact we started strong compared to expectations and compared to our terrible play, a collapse was all but guaranteed.

Go back and look at the last 10 years. Every time we started strong we ended the season on a low.

Teams face injuries all the time. It's part of football. You can't tell me that we were playing well prior to facing injuries.

In the last 6 games we have over 900 yards rushing.
    #1 in the NFL
At the same time our defense played well for at least 1/2 of each game.

my point is that a running game and defense isn’t enough anymore.

You need a passing game in todays NFL.

I don’t think tomlin understands that

Six seasons in the making. It's all very well documented, for those who haven't been paying attention.

If it wasn't for Kenny's 4th qtr play this team would have 2 or 3 wins..now find a way to get him to play the first 3 qtrs.

I disagree, many had this team headed to the playoffs when they were 7-4.
