Well one player in this example anyway but have to imagine this is the consensus if Moore is saying that.

Would go a long way in being an impactful leader if Kenny starts playing good ball.

It's beyond obvious that he has the team's back and beyond obvious that he can be our franchise QB. Now why is that? Because they see that he can do it in practice when there aren't penalty flags all over the place and guys running straight through the OL at him. Ironically, Moore is one of the biggest problems because a QB can't even begin to do their job if they are constantly worried about their blind side.

After seeing how Mitch played last week it’s easy to see why they’re backing Kenny.

No, it’s not remotely obvious that he can be the franchise QB. You’re just going on blind faith and thats your prerogative as a fan but please don’t act like Kennys level of play has shown he is obviously the next franchise QB.

An example of a QB that obviously has it it Stroud.

What we are hoping with Kenny is he can turn things around like Hurts did. He was awful the year before things began clicking for him.

Disagree, totally. Very obvious and time will prove it as they just need to build around him and either get rid of this joke of a coach or get a competent OC and Tomlin stay out of it.

I don't know what you have been watching. I've defended Pickett quite a bit, but in no way is it obvious. If we judged solely by what he has shown us, at best, he is a temporary place-holder who will become a decent back up as soon as they can find a legitimate starter. I still think there is more upside than that, but he hasn't shown it in regular-season games.

Here is a problem I hope the Steelers are confronted with. Say Trub gets us to 10-6 and looks decent doing it (stop laughing;)). That game in Baltimore would be big. I believe Kenny will be ready by week 18. Mike would have to make a decision who to start. What a nice dream.

    Dear Mrs Pickett

No it is not beyond obvious

Actually right now it seems rather dubious

This I agree with. Tomlin doesn't have a great track record of hiring. Canada was hired because he did a soild for Tomlins son. How about Austin? Happy with him?

Art II, Khan and Weidl should be on the search.

Exactly. At least Pickett's teammates know they can win with him more often than not. With Trubisky, not so much

Jets players say thet stand behind Zach Wilson every other week. When the other options suck, you gotta go with whats available lol.

I get your point but Moore was responding to a question about leadership and where that is going to come from and he could have said Harris or whoever. The fact that he chose Pickett makes me feel that he is being genuine there because he wouldn’t say that if he didn’t feel he was the man to play QB for the foreseeable future.

Pickett's issue has never been his demeanor, leadership abilities, or intangibles. He's a guy that seems easy to like, and will work his @$$ off for the betterment of the team. His issues have been solely in his play.

I don't think Hurts was awful the year before it clicked for him. I think you and I actually got into a debate specifically on Hurts after the season (as I listed him as an above average QB that was going to be top 10 the next season). His first 2 seasons saw him start 19 games and he threw for like 215 yards per game, ran for 50 yards a game, threw 22 TD passes and added 13 rushing TD's. So he was essentially responsible for 265 yards a game and 35 TD's. He showed some promise as a passer, though he really only needs to be about a 240-250 yards a game guy to be good. I thought he looked SUPER close to being good.

I really hope Kenny takes a huge leap forward next year (since he will likely be the starter again in 2024), but he is pretty far behind where Jalen Hurts was going into his breakout year.

He was awful, couldn’t read defenses, made a lot of mistakes Kenny is making. I watched him a lot because I had him in FF. He was only good from the standpoint of his rushing ability.

when you have opposing defenses heard saying on mic up “he can’t read” that’s not a good thing.
