Little shocking I agree. It was brought up here before and those in the know countered it with reasons I forgot. I'm sure you'll hear that Kenny needs more time, Kenny needs to work with better OC, etc. etc.

I'm with OP, I think it is amazing any team could have 3 like we got.

    Coaching.
Look at Denver. They were among the worst teams in the league. Russell Wilson was among the worst QB's in the league. They hired Sean Peyton and now they're what, 6-1 in their last 7 and in the playoff hunt? They've beat the Packers, Chiefs, Bills, Browns and Vikings this season.

People underestimate the importance of coaching

Lets say Brady was drafted by the Jets. Does anyone actually believe his career would have turned out the same? Would anyone even know who Tom Brady is?

I want to just say yes, but it's got to be the coaches too. How is the quick slant not in the playback.
And I see sorry teams have easy catches every game, but not us.

The greatest job int he world is Mason Rudolph's job!! He gets paid $1m to sit on the warm bench next to the heater. He runs the the opponents offense during practice. Not a bad gig for a $1m. Its not kings money but its essentially free money!!

Oh btw, yes we have the worst 3 qb's.

Zach Wilson just threw for over 300 yards last week as the Jets put a major beat down on the Texans. We don't have anyone that can do that.

Part of it is scheme, as Trubisky has at least been a serviceable QB in the past and has struggled here... but yeah, at this point it would be hard to believe that any of our 3 guys could make the 53-man roster anywhere else in the AFC North. Pickett is really bad, Trubisky has been bad, and we are the only team in the league that still thinks Mason Rudolph is an NFL QB... so yeah. It is the worst QB room in the league.

Yet everyone is so blinded by our amazing trio, and call Zach the worst qb in league, have you seen any of our qbs throw over 300yds or multiple td passes!
Also, the Jets have a bad o line

Apparently you didnt see Zach Wilson last week?! You would think after 22 starts KFP could manage one good game like that

Even the worst teams have gotten some decent play from poor to mediocre QBs over the last 3 years. The Steelers meanwhile have had 4 different QBs over that time. And all have looked equally inept. They may not be the world’s best QBs, but the fact that they’ve all looked so bad tells me that the coaching and system is a major cause of the poor offense.

I really really REALLY miss Ben Roethlisberger in his prime. I wonder if this sh*tty coaching staff didn’t make his last years more difficult than they should have been. The coaching on this team this year sucks to no end. I’ve never seen a more uninspired team. Our receivers are never open and the bubble screens on 3rd and twelve or the 30 yard passes on 4th and 2 are the most idiotic plays ever called. Just thinking about all this makes my blood boil. Fire the entire coaching staff and start over. There has to be a reset or it will be another wasted season in 2024. We used to be a team where draft prospects looked forwarded to being picked by. Now a bunch of college players are probably hoping they won’t come here. It’s a sad time for Steelers nation really. Ughhhhhhh!:frustrated:

Agreed, we took for granted and relied upon Ben's ability to extend plays to compensate for a crap offensive line. We didn't invest in keeping the line in great shape rather we invested in skill positions and the defense. Everything offensively starts with the line. It's not sexy or highlight reel stuff but if the line sucks you will suck!!

Collectively we have the worst QB's in the league. You can't honestly compete unless you have an above-average 'C' Quarterback. Our QB's are all in the 'F' range. Picket is running out of time on his rookie contract, is older, brittle, and has done nothing to warrant an extension. Trubisky is terrible and has no value for the cap space he takes up and the team apparently has no faith in Mason.

None of them are talented enough to overcome a Defensive Head Coach that has no talent or ability to run an offense that can score above 20 points.

Khan needs to draft a QB next year, even if a 2nd or 3rd rounder. This is a deep class. Keep drafting a QB until you get one, even in the lower rounds. You certainly don't extend or pay even average QB's that force you to shed talent due to the cap.

Good point. I had asked in another post, how would Mahomes or Brady have turned out if Steelers drafted him?

What happened to the team that went on a run at the end of last year? We all thought they got better. Then they hit a wall week one and haven’t recovered.

We have one of the wort (had to type that three times due to autocorrect) offensive lines and the wort game plans. Those make the QBs look bad. But, the QBs cannot read a defense, so they’re not helping either.

I’m not sure any team would trade straight up for our QB room.
