I think your first point is the most important (and easily overlooked/forgotten) - we may have interim OC's, but they are still running Canada's playbook. How did we expect that to suddenly be world shattering?

 

mitch is a good person ,too bad he is not a good qb. Mason for some reason is a bad person but we will never find out if he has become a good qb ,a real shame what the steelers have become. A fish rots from the head down and we have become the fishburgh steelers. Was a true fan for almost 70yrs ,hard to watch anymore.

 

Sometimes he is, but he wasn't even mostly responsible, as you asserted. In the Arizona game, the defense fell apart and the one turnover attributed to Trubisky was Cole's fault. He was bad against the Patriots, but 18 points should have been enough to beat a team with an offense as horrible as New England's. That should be true even with Trubisky handing them a short field. The defense has been great this season, but they failed miserably in the first half Thursday night.

Mostly what we saw was a 2nd year QB who had a horrible line and running game. That said they have seen what and who he is for all these years, so you are likely correct. Those calling for MR, what do you expect. He may be better than Mitch, or worse (hard to believe), but to think a QB no other team wanted is going to light up this team is looking through a rose colored telescope. Honestly I would rather MR take the snaps and just do it to see, if he sucks then we truly know, if he has a good game some could relish in the I told you so moment, at least the O might be more entertaining that 3 quarters of 3 and outs, lol

 

It's sad, but I totally agree. Egos, and Money will see to that. I Keep saying this, but they know exactly what they have in Mason, and they tried getting better, and failed. No way they let the most expensive Qb sit the bench, and see that not only is Mason better than Him, but a chance He looks better than KFP, and that would not only make the Owners, GMs, and coaches look like fools, but cause a Qb conflict. See right now We have lost every game KFP hasn't played.....so nobody wants Trubisky over KFP...., but what happens if Mason comes in ,and looks better???? Egos, money, and wanting no Qb controversy on their young 1st round Qb will keep Mitch playing.

Dude, all 3 of these qbs suck. Such short memories Steeler fans have with Mason. Pretty bad when the fans are cheering for your 3 string qb in the 2 qtr.
Yes, Mason throws the best deep ball out of all 3, but he looks like he has concrete boots on when he is in the pocket .

I don’t know what kind of person he is but he wouldn’t take a hit on that crucial third down play in the red zone and instead he slid and we were short. That’s not a good look for any football player, specially one who is supposed to have character. Mason otoh, stuck up for himself in the Garrett incident and has not made any waves on his demotion and third string status.

The highlight of going to the game was this drunk guy on the way out yelling " KENNY PICKETT...GONE!! MONEY MITCH....GONE!!" and the something about this what happens when you inherit the team and don't have the balls to make changes.

 

LOL. My mistake. He did take one snap before the Cardinals drove 99 yards to take the lead, a hand-off to Harris that failed because the entire interior offensive line was stood up at the point of attack. Do you really think he affected the game there? Or was his real opportunity to do something after it was 10-3 Cardinals and he started to move the offense until Cole fired a snap at his toes? Of course, the correct answer was the latter, but your bitter hatred of Trubisky won't allow you to see that.
