You don't motivate adults. You hold them accountable. If they don't play hard, they don't play at all. Lack of playing time = lost money for future contracts. We're losing with them anyway. We can just as easily lose without them. Short term pain for long term gain. Break those bad habits now so they don't keep resurfacing.

I can't see it. There was so much bad press around his first and only stint in the NFL. Plus he hasn't had much success in college either. I'm guessing he goes back to college because there will be no job offers for him in the NFL, unless he drops way down the pecking order. He won't be an OC in this league again.

TOMLIN has always been a players coach. That’s fine when you have guys like Hines Troy and Farrior in the locker room. The best leader this team has right now is Cam Hayward and frankly he has barely won anything in the playoffs himself. He has no control and these young players have no respect or accountability. Once again this is on the HC!

Chuck Noll said "If I have to motivate you I will fire you". There are too many players on this current Steeler team that play unmotivated and that has to fall on the Head Coach.

You're motivated by optimism and vision...how can you create vision and optimism behind poor quarterback play and a offensive playbook that can barely create a 18 pt a game average. You got a bad Quarterback (regardless of which of the three it is) with a bad playbook and that's a bad combination. Herein lies the hypocrisy of Steelers fans. We know it just as much as they do and we're on the outside looking in. We can't even began to know what they see and feel on the practice field, locker room etc.

I'll tell you where MT's greatest failure is and has been which is picking his coordinators/assistant coaches. He's the exact opposite of Midas Touch. I don't know for certain if he's hamstrung by the tight purse strings of the Rooneys where they refuse to hire outside the organization, or if he's really just that bad. All I know is there is going to be a lot of wasted talent if they don't proceed in a manner to seriously put someone who knows what they're doing and does it well at his side...hopefully his replacement if he should decide to leave the game soon.

Ownership hired Haley, and the rumours are that Tomlin and Ben didn't like him and Tomlin got rid of him. Doesn't seem like the Rooney's mind going outside the franchise. I just don't know if Tomlin can attract a top OC at this point. The stink is too much. Who would want to sign up for the job knowing you could be out of a job at any time.

I thought it was Ben that didn't like Haley...not Tomlin....where's your source coming from?? Technically Tomlin didn't get rid of him if he rode out his contract. It just didn't get renewed. I mean I certainly hope you're not putting out a lot of BS to spite Tomlin. Some of yall get on the internet and say anything. I guess yall be thinking ain't gonna check on what yall say, or think most of us just started following the team yesterday.
