Getting him more involved in the game plan would help.

The problem is the first time he acted up, you deal with it in a strict way. He's expecting every player to be a seasoned mature veteran and this why we get what we get. Give me a guy as head coach say like Hines Ward with an old school work ethic, the problem is the kids coming out are mostly "me" people first because society is cultivating that. The team first hard nosed worker is the exception rather than the rule now. It will get progressively worse and worse. For pete's sake we have shopping cart return spots in parking lots and people cant even be bothered to put the cart in them. It really is pathetic!!

We haven't made him a priority, that's for sure. I can only imagine his frustration is that he thinks our QB's suck (and he's right). George probably doesn't have many solutions, because his solution is "get somebody back there who can get me the ball".

We are going to have major issues attracting and retaining WR talent if we don't do something about the QB position THIS OFFSEASON.

At this point I think Pickens would welcome a trade from this Tomlin run dumpster fire. I don’t blame him if he does want out. They don’t even use his skills the way other coaches would be able to.

I can’t imagine anyone on this team not wanting a trade we have become the laughingstock of the NFL. Guys like TJ will never even experience a playoff win in his career unless he is moved soon.

I think George Pickens can see things we can see and he's pissed, offense and coaching of such ineptitude it doesn't belong at the professional level or even at NCAAF Div-II.

Troubled, immature WRs have been a trend in the Tomlin era. I can't even blame George for being mad though. These guys have a short shelf life to get paid. If you get stuck wasting away your prime years in an offensive scheme run by clowns, you're never going to get paid to according to your abilities.

As bad as the Chiefs WR's suck they would probably pay a lot to get a talent like Pickens come draft time. Mahomes to Pickens would be a heck of a passing combination.

The glorification of 86 on this board is incredible. The guy was as selfish as all of them. His pursuit of 1000 recpetions was a joke. The teams' needs were subserved to his. Not saying he didn't deserve that deference per se and he was a very good player obviously, but let's not make him out as a saint. The guy played for his own stats as much as anyone. He just went about smarter.

That aside, I also will disagree that you go strict the first time someone acts up. You have a talk and expect that person to be mature and professional and treat the employee with respect. The second or third time however...

A real Qb would fix a bunch of issues.

He's clear and far the best WR we have for all the back shoulder fades and go balls we throw.

Im sure the outburts will pile up as the losses do.

I guess what I mean by strict, is a clear unambiguous message that it's not acceptable and can never happen again. As for Hines, in watching him in his career I never read or saw him be the selfish player. Tomlin even told him you will suck as a Coach because you won't be able to accept players that won't work as hard as you. So I'm unfamiliar with the story you are referring to but will look into that to see if that warrants a change in how I look at Hines.

There is another coach in LA I just don’t understand how he keeps his job. Carolina fired Reich.

It's mind blowing how he keeps his job. He keeps having losing year after losing year with Justin Herbert at QB. Now it looks like Herbert is out for the year so they will finish around 5-12.

Only positive… is that we dont play them this season! With Watt and Highsmith both possibly out, i dont see the Steelers winning another game this season.

Pickens doesn’t get separation so Mitch has a dilemma of throwing to a guy who’s not open, run, or throw incomplete

Hines Ward deserves every bit of glory that fans like myself continue to praise him with. I don’t know how you could dis such an incredible Steeler. The guy poured his heart and soul into this team. In short, your statement makes you sound like a troll.
