There is a rumor that the Steelers or Falcons are going to trade for Justin Fields in the offseason. He is better than anyone we currently have but honestly if Tomlin is staying we need a tenured QB that has had some success in this league. Tomlin is not capable of taking on a project and developing them. That has proven out recently.

Our biggest need in the offseason if we do not part ways with Tomlin is to get bonafide Coordinators in here on both sides of the ball. Flacco was done when he was on the Jets and now look at him on the Browns. Coaching makes all the difference.

I'm on the fence Abt Fields, if they bring him they in are also gonna have to bring in a proven offensive coordinator,. Wouldn't hurt to bring to bring in a proven defensive coordinator also. But my wish is just to clean house from the Hc on down..

If this rumor is true that tells me Tomlin isnt going anywhere. This would be a Tomlin move all the way.

I believe if they were going to bring in a new coach then Khan would go in a different direction for QB.

A competent offensive line does wonder for QBs.

Oh I hope not. Fields just isn't very good. He's an incredible athlete and he can make some throws, but he'll never lead a team to a championship

I need to know who the full time offensive coordinator is going to be moving forward and what scheme we are running before we even start discussing QB options.

Might as well roll with Kenny. Far cheaper and doesn't cost any draft capital to acquire. Team needs a hard reset, not more of the same whilst losing assets in the process.

    And rumors will flow....
Justin Fields is everything this franchise does not need. I doubt Atlanta needs him either.

    Looking at the Draft.
I don't have Pittsburgh winning any more games, maybe 1.
They are not in the best position draft-wise, even losing out.
But if you are committed to trashing your QB (totally overlooking bad coaching, bad offense, 2 starting WR's that half step) Then you better be bold enough to make a commitment.

Find a vet not named Fields.
    Go big in the draft.

They are not going to trade for Fields. Plus they will not give up on Pickett yet.

They have to figure out this lackluster coaching staff first and make serious changes before they can make a call on players.

Side Note: Hell to the NO on Fields...

Using common sense? lol.... not allowed man.
    Agreed.

Gotta get an OC that actually knows what Offense is. People are not getting it that this offense was designed terribly.
MANY analyst, DC's OC's Coaches have said exactly that. We're stuck with that trash till season ends.
Fix that, and you're a mile ahead of where you where.

Next, the guys that catch the ball.
We have two under achievers. DJ quits on his routes, Pickens is sloppy.
We have nothing behind them of any quality.
Gotta find some guys that want to play and want to win.

Get a C and OT and now you got something.

No thanks. Doubtful anyway, I don't see Kahn as a guy who is gonna get rid a bunch of draft pick capital to get a player.

If it were like a 3rd round pick, well maybe worth a shot but Bears aren't gonna do that.

I just don't think Fields has an it factor.

I would love that but there is no way he makes it out of the top 10. In addition we aren’t capable of developing QB’s. We need a veteran a QB who is already developed. The only way I am for drafting a QB is to go get the best OC, best OL and best QB coaches out there to develop them. One thing I noticed in looking at highlights even of these college QB’s is do they go to their second read. Do they extend the play, are they cool under pressure. KP it seems had a security blanket with Addison. I just am not sure about his ability to go through progressions. If we can’t develop that in him we need to find a QB that can go through their progressions and see the field.

Hell no! We've already seen what happens when we sign a Bears QB reject, but I know Tomlin is dumb enough to do it again

That would suggest the issue is intangible. It's not. He is just wildly erratic as a passer.

The only thing that is gonna happen in the off season is we will get a new OC and most likely new backup qb's. Everything else will stay the exact same.

Broderick Jones is a good start. James Daniels hasn't been too bad either. Issac has been up and down but all of us know about Dan Moore. Acquire either JC Latham from Alabama or Amarius Mims from Georgia in the 2024 Draft.

Hope and pray that Sedrick Van Pran is available in round 2. If not?! Trade up for his ass.

Please, please bring in a competent OC and add quality QB competition to
The room and keep building the ol and secondary.

    I am in on Fields

Let him and Kenny have s true competition. Trade or cut Mitch and let Mason compete... and be a much cheaper option

I think Fields can be just as good as Hurts.. the fact that he is doing what he is doing on a bad bears team is impressive

    But most importantly
    hire a GOOD OC,
    bring back MUNCH
Think long and hard about new DC

Kenny plus a better QB room next year. Mitch and Mason GONE. Let Kenny battle it out with another guy or two. Bring in one veteran and dafte one.
