Then why is there all this talk, even amongst professional commentators, about coaching trees, if coaches don't pick coordinators? I'm not saying you're wrong - I don't know how it works - but I've gotta assume that many coaches have a huge say in who gets employed as coordinators.

Incidentally, Tomlin has literally no coaching tree.

I'm sure Tomlin hires most of his staff. I don't doubt there is input by management. The Arians thing came about because ARII was concerned that with the style of offense BA ran, Ben was taking too many hits. And he was right.

 

Adjustments? Have you watched Steelers football long?

There's like, at best, maybe a 6% chance that the Steelers come back and win with a 14 pt deficit. And that's probably being generous.

 

Whether they pick them , or not they still have to coach, and teach them. And one of the HCs that they always bring up is Bill Belichick who is also the GM. There are, and have been many HC/GMs. Tomlin....is not one of them.

 

I wonder if they cut off the booze?
